Can I register a ME1 game to post on the ME2 forums?
No, you need ME2 to post in the ME2 specific game forums.
And you can't register ME1 on this site anyways.

That's just stupid and keeps people that don't want to register out. How do you register anyhow? Is there like a specific key included in the game? I didn't see any, but haven't even started the game yet.

They're rewarding honest customers is all. Registering your game earns you rights to forums and self-help. Why would you not want to register?
Go to Games > Mass Effect 2 > Register Game. Click 'click here to register game' under the version you have and it will tell you what you need to enter.

Thanks!
I don't want to register if it is unique, because I don't like these companies are harvesting all this information (then again a lot of my information is public information).
Anyhow, I looked at the requirements and the requirement for the 360 version is the UPC code. Well a quick search on google will solve that problem in no time. Silly requirement if you ask me. Why would you be here, if you didn't have the game? Unless they were trying to target pirates, but undoubtedly they can do a google search too....
