No on both the southerner and redneck sounding. NO not one little itty bitty bit. Some of you need to go get your hearing checked. Thats not said in a mean why I really think some of you out there have some ear damage or problems that need to be checked out.

as a guy who lives in the south, I agree. I didn't hear anything like southern farmer, in either games.

I thought Meer was good until I tried the female Shepard.

She blows his dry stilted ass out of the water.

The guy sounds too clinical for the characters I like to play. Hale has a better handle for emotive speech and she just comes off as a general badass with some of her lines.

I guess some people as just too threatened by a female doing better.

If Jeniffer's voice is a little off, ( and i'm not saying it is, I actually don't think there's anything wrong with it at all, ) then could it be down to her possibly feeling a bit down at the fact that she puts in all this fantastic voice work and gets feck all recognition for it in the advertising? 

In ME1 you had to pretty much already know that you could create a femShep before starting the game. John Shepard was preselected on the start new game screen and you had to select custom Shepard to find out you could be female.

Surely it has to be a kick in the groin and affect your performance to know that you're doing the same amount of work as somebody else and yet that somebody else get's all the acknowledgement.

To me Male Shep is much much better. Fem shep seems to end every sentence the same way no matter what she's talking about and I get tired of her yelling and over dramatic acting to the point that I just skip the dialogue so I don't need to hear it.

I think Femshep is literally miles above maleshep.  The only Iines I thought femshep did poorly in the whole game was when she was talking to the turian outside the quarantine zone on Omega, renegade response.

"Do I look like a looter?" that one, she kinda half whispers it super aggressively and it just sounds bad.  But besides that renegade response I think she does a great job of sounding "bada*s".

Mark Meer's voice in general reminds me of  www.youtube.com/watch which I guess fits with the whole being a cyborg thing...
