OKay maybe now since i got some people looking at this damn thread i can get help now! Lol

Okay im a mage and ive beat all the quest to ozzammar and i chose harromoths side he wants me to kill JARVIA but when i killed the people who are suppose to drop the key to JARVIAS base i never got it and i cant get into the base ive tried everything i cant get inside it omg!!! help me!!

Are you sure it's not on them? Well, it doesn't matter I guess. You can also get it from the shop owner in Dust Town I believe.

you are posting in the wrong forum, man. try asking politely in the Official Campaign or Gameplay forums. To me, it sounds like you've run into a bug and probably need to backtrack from an earlier save.

It's not the shop owner, it's the thug house in Dust Town, it's basically the very last place on the map.

Just to be completely clear, you are in Dust Town (the poor area of Orzammar) and you found where the group of thugs that were menacing the merchant were hiding out, you killed them, and they did not drop the fingerbone key?

Yes i was in that spot inside the house i chose to kill them and after the battle they didnt drop nothing..

I presume you asked the beggar about info, otherwise you couldn't have killed the thugs. I presume you tried opening the door and it didn't work. So you must have likely caught a bug. Sorry dude.

My mistake. It wasn't the shop owner in Dust town. It's the thugs harassing the shop owner in the commons that you can get the key from too.

Yes i killed al of them then the guy left and the thugs didnt drop nothing there either?!?!

It sounds like a really unfortunate bug, then. That's my best guess. Happens to the best of us sometimes and is a great reason for saving often and keeping multiple files.

Okay. Than you are officially screwed unless you have a save prior to the glitch that you can reload. Try double checking all the areas and messing with the door anyway. Maybe you'll get lucky.

Dang this sucks i was planning on getting a mage lvl 20 but now i cant !! i already beat it once as a Warrior but i was lvl 19 half way to 20 beat all the stuff u have to buy and im at the camp after i beat the arch demon so i cant travel or do other missions so im ****ed there lol

and ya ive been trying everything for the past 2 weeks to get past the door from both ways.. but nothing works ive taked to everyone but nothign works omg!

If you haven't already, go back to Dust Town. At the very end of the road there, to the left is a door that is openable. I believe it says something like 'apartments'. Go there. There should be a group of thugs inside. Defeat them. Do try not killing them when they want to surrender. The leader will give you the fingerbone key if you demand it of him. Take the key and return to Dust Town proper. Now go to the building he tells you to. Try inserting the bone in the hole in the dialogue.



You should be in Jarvia's headquarters.



If that doesn't work or if you are past that, try going back to an earlier save.

I already did that and i killed them! read what i wrote! and they didnt drop the damn key!

It's an easter egg, kill all plot/non-plot people that you can and get stuck in every area unable to complete game.
Oh wait, they decided to take that out...bummer.

Go back to an earlier save, maybe not kill everyone in case the *bug* crops up again for you. You can get exp (and sometimes extra benefits) by not killing everything in sight.

Multiple people have helped you.  They have told you very specifically what you must do, and if you have done it and it is still not working for you than you have run into an unfortunate bug. Some people have even offered you extra help by telling you to go back to an earlier save file.

Huh.. Just do the smart thing and reload its not that hard to figure out. Then just dont kill them and they will give you the finger bone key. Nobody can magically fix your bug. So you use your brain and reload like all of us have before when we get a bug.
