She didn't cheat. It's an overreaction by people who think that talking to another man is cause for concern.

Liara was probably the most faithful squad made and/or LI. She was the only one to recover your body. Seriously, if I was Shepard the first thing I would ask any other of my ME1 squad mates would be: "Pray tell, how come none of you gave a **** to find my body and bury it?"

That said. I can understand Garrus moving on and trying to do some good as Spectre and later on as Archangel. Wrex going to Tuchanka to unite the tribes, and Tali returning to her people to warn them of the reapers.

Kaiden/Ashley returned to the alliance, didn't care that the Alliance Brass spat on Shepard's name and what he said, got their asses promoted and did nothing of importance.

I dont think she would cheat. The comic basically shows what lengths she is willing to go to get shepard back. She obviously loves him to much to even worry about another person. You saw how caught up she was with finding the shadow broker, who is a threat to shepard and has a bounty on him.

Are you still angry with Liara? She thought you were dead so after two years she had to move on.

No she didn't she gave your corpse to cerberus so they could bring you back to life she new you were going to be alive.

They never said that in the comic. Proof please.

She says it in game have you never done her full dialog tree?

By bioware standards saying "Hello" is basically asking for casual sex. So she is tottaly hitting on him and if she doesn't bone him there will be no more dialog between them. Just going by ME2 logic.

Spoilers:

Well, in ME2 she says that because of her screw up Feron got captured or killed. From that little discussion it's kinda obvious that main feeling towards Feron is survivor's guilt, not love. Also she needs to take Shadow broker down because he is still after Shepard. To whom do you think that Purgatory captain Warden was going to sell you?

I'm not getting that impression at all.

It looks to me like they're just friends who went through some tough times together...

Even if she didn't cheat she sure is cold.  Shepard is like a man straight out of prison...and Liara didn't even use the conjugal visits!!!! COLD BLOODED!!!

I have to admit, Liara didn't welcome me the way I'd expect, she did appear to be extremely distant from me.

What with her and Ash, what's a person supposed to do?

Good!

I think is more unrealistic to have the ME1 LIs not get involved romantically with anyone following Shepard's death. Let me repeat that, Shepard was DEAD. Liara, Ashley and Kaiden all should have been involved with someone else following Shepard's death.

Oh, and it's not cheating. Shepard was DEAD. Even marriage vows say 'until death do us part,' and no one was expecting Shepard to be resurrected. The Lazarus Project was highly secret and  an experimental project. Even in the ME universe it isn't something that is common in medicine. As far as the ME1 LIs knew Shepard was dead, like most people who die, gone for good.

So how then do Bioware have us cheating, when we've been dead for 2years?

I agree with you.

I don't think Shepard was 'cheating' either. Whether it is Bioware discussing Shepard romancing one of the new ME2 LIs, or fans discussing the possibility of Liara hooking up with a Drell, the word 'cheating' is being thrown around too often where it doesn't apply.

Personally I was very happy when Ash was all mad at Shep when I met her because I was like, oh crap I hope she dosn't want to move in now that I'm alive again. I just put all my space ship models up and I don't want her messing with them and I would like to get it on with Miranda and Kelly...

If you die, or go missing for long periods of time, the relationship ends. Did Helen Hunt cheat on Tom Hanks in Castaway? People move on and they should. To think otherwise makes you controlling and insecure to near restraining order levels. I also, think love interest is often misinterpreted as "in love". You can be in a relationship with someone and have sex with them and not be in love. If you are dating someone for a couple weeks/months and they die, you aren't going to "wait" for them, unless you are a nut case.

Does this work both ways?  Like would it have been alright if Tom Hanks slept with the volleyball?

Ashley and Kaiden I can understand more than Liara.  They had NO hope of seeing Shepard again.  At least Liara had like a slight hope, since she knew the Lazarus Project would take Shepard as its target.

Still, its not cheating for anyone involved, so then Bioware should not punish us for moving on in ME 2.  I wish there was a Shepard option to be cold towards Liara/Ashley, as it seems they get to be free to jerk Shepard around while he/she stands and takes it.  What if Shepard wants to move on?

I was expecting Ash to very least hit my Shep for not calling.

I also do not think talking about waffles is needed in such a serious discussion of...  oh wait...

I wonder how the relationships will work in ME 3. I imagine there will be some conflicts, as your ME 1 romances will try to "rediscover" Shepard while if you had ME 2 romances, they will try to keep you. Wild stuff!!!

And the big question wil be....will there be lawsuits?

For some reason i started thinking of Jerry Springer.

Liara's going to show up with a daughter.  They'll have to do a DNA test, child support will be involved....she'll probably throw a couple punches...it will be ugly.

There will be a cage match to the death between your ME1 and ME2 LIs. The "Amok Time" music will be playing too. It will be epic.
