Oh, I was reading the wiki, when I read this IMPORTANT: David Gaider has stated on the forums that a drop of blood from an Archdemon is not necessary for the ritual; all it takes is a very concentrated dose of the taint or magically treated darkspawn blood. They use Archdemon blood whenever they can because it's very potent and saves them the trouble of seeking out another source for the dose. He has also stated that given enough time, an "accidental" Grey Warden can be created - someone who's survived the Taint for long enough to become immune to it without actually going through the Joining. Click here to learn more about this. Do you agree about including this in the article?--

It's not a spoiler, it's all based off Codex stuff

The second sentence in the original post IS a spoiler. You're not supposed to know that until just before you become a Grey Warden.

You're not supposed to know you die at Ostagar, but the DLC ad's, on this very site, tell you that "The events at Ostagar will haunt you for months to come"

They also advertise Cailins armor... BioWare is pretty hippocritical when it comes to spoilers.

That doesn't change the fact that it's a spoiler and does not belong in this forum. For a forum which specifically says NO SPOILERS ALLOWED in all caps, there sure are a lot of spoilers posted here.

If RtO isn't a spoiler in its self, than I'm sure this is fine. If a mod disagrees, then they can feel free to take this down.

This is a BIG spoiler thread. Thanks to posts like the ones in this thread, I've already been spoiled of the ending twist despite not looking for it.
Threads like this should be immediately moved to the Spoilers-allowed forum. Why don't you go discuss this there? This forum does not welcome threads like this.

A) Yes this thread is insanely spoilerific.
As I recall, you don't need Archdemon blood for the joining ritual, you need -darkspawn- blood. You know, there is a quest for it and everything...

Have you SEEN how big the Archdemon is? The last one that was slain and provided ample amounts of blood for Grey Wardens to be made. It's not like the GWs are always mass recruiting either, they are a selective group and they take only the best fighters. We do not know how many GWs there are in Thedas at any given time but I'd suspect it isn't any bigger than say the army of Ferelden in numbers (and the GWs encompass people from all nations). If it only takes one drop of Archdemon blood per recruit, and the Archdemon is a massive dragon, well, I'm sure there is plenty there to last a few hundred years at the rate that the Grey Wardens recruit.
