24? Well that makes it a bit better. She reads much younger. I thought she was 20 or so.
She wasn't even that young in ME1. Nothing creepy at all.

That, and if you play a renegade shepard, tali's crush turns into a weird obsession with abusive guys.
Well that's how every romance plays out. Don't get me started on the freakshow that is Liara in ME1.
Actually, could you expand on this? I could use a good laugh at Liara's expense.
I'd rather not get mauled by the disgruntled Liara lurkers. Suffice to say, she presents herself as a doormat to be walked all over by Shepard in the first game. And then with the constant swooning and "your mind is so powerful Shepard, take me now!"

I hate that everyone who likes Tali gets lumped into the over-obsessive 'life-sized-doll' insanity.
You and me both, buddy. I like Tali as a character, and she's my favorite romance, but I'm not sitting here pining for her IRL or anything. I just like her. And I do not feel especially creepy for that.

Shouldn't you be off making another Tali doll?

Disturbing?
Whatever do you mean?
Looks like an idea for ME2 merchandise, a Tali blowup doll. But yeah it just seems that Tali has a crush on Shepard.

Then again I don't know if Shepard is really 31, I mean your body is rebuilt
to be that of a 29 year old and you didn't mature any in the past 2 years because
you were unconscious... So 29-31 with a 24 year old isn't bad.

People should just look at it from a maturity point of view.
As someone said, Tali is mature enough to understand her feelings and choose who she wants to be with.

Yes, this. Besides this, Shepard (paragon Shepard at least) is like a million times more mature than even 1000 year old people in the ME universe so I guess you have to make some concessions at some point

You could say the same of Liara taking advantage of you in the first game...that crafty cougar.
Not really. Liara's "barely more than a child:" the asari equivalent of a teenager.
Doesn't that make the Liara relationship even WORSE in your logic?
Tali is twenty-four in Mass Effect 2.
Shepard is...29 in ME, right? So 31 in ME2.
24 and 31. That seriously isn't that bad. My father is ten years older than my mother. my mother is over 15 years older than her boyfriend.
Keep in mind, he was dead for two years and his body was kept preserved.
Technically, he didn't age.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lazarus has increased Shepard's life expectancy, or that he's actually physically younger.
As I said though, age should have nothing to do with it.

What I find creepier is that Shepard was probably 100% dead, including brain death, meaning that the character you play as is not actually Shepard but a Shepard zombie or robot
So Tali is a necrophiliac.
Isn't that just peaches.

I haven't romanced her myself, but I don't see an issue with people who do. You saved her from thugs on the Citadel, completed her pilgrimage for her, helped her on Freedom's Progress, saved her again on Haelstrom, concealed the truth about her father and (possibly) got her acquitted at her trial. If she doesn't put out after all that, it would be creepy!
Mature relationships aren't based on "putting out" because someone's done something for you. It's all about mutual respect and intimacy between two equal and consenting partners. Some men ( "Nice Guys ") believe that doing nice things for women makes them entitled to get in their pants. That sense of entitlement and ownership is what I would consider creepy.

No, not really. The pilgrimage is more like your first "official" adult act. I.e., you have to have reached adulthood to even be sent on one, normally.

Tali's name in the first game is Tali'Zorah Nar Rayya. "Nar" means "child of". I always figured that the Pilgrimage is basically your right of passage into adulthood. After the completion of the pilgrimage they are then considered adults.
But whatever floats your boat, I guess.
