Does this mean that Dragon Age has lost its theme song? It's lovely, and I would be sorry not to hear Ashburn's vocals returning to keep a consistent feel to the series.

I think he will become the first ever Warrior-Bard.
and who said she wont be in later games of the series ! Lies, all lies !
She might not be in Awakening but there is always a chance for her too return. Maybe we can find her at Orlais who knows.

This just occurred to me. The vocal that plays over the title screen and the love scenes is, we learn in the Brecilian Forest, being sung by the character Leliana herself. Leliana will not be in Awakenings and may well not show herself in future sequels either.

I thought the theme song was sung by someone else, but they just said Leliana sang it. Kind of like what a voice actor in a disney movie can't sing so they have someone else with a similar voice do it.
But yeah, I'm not thinking Leliana will ever return... well maybe a cameo, but nothing else.

Yeah, the dialogue (Corinne Kempa) is not the same voice actress as the song (Aubrey Ashburn).

We'll see what awakening does. If it has a new theme song, then I'd bet their not gonna stick with a constant theme, but if it uses one with the same feel then it's possible Aubrey Ashburn will return.distinguetraces wrote...

The lack of Leiliana made just forget about getting Awakening right away, later on after some reviews. A pity really.
Shouldn't have expected her to come back... if you knew bioware games you know she prob wouldn't. I have a feeling Morrigan's being saved for DA2... it's obvious she's being saved for somethin.

I think Awakening will have really low sales all around, just hope that DA is strong enough to get a proper treatment in the future like ME had.

Anyway, I'm more interested in Shale's limericks than Leliana's songs, or even Oghren's.

And no I doubt have much faith that Leliana will come back ever again. If BioWare can't bring back continous characters for an expansion that requires the original game then based on the ME2 debacle (a game that from the off was being planned as a continous trilogy) I doubt we will see them in the sequel that will be required to be made for people who haven't played the original game.

If I romanced her and it's plainly said at the end of the game that we stayed together... what valid reason is there that I don't expect to see her at my side only a handfull of months later?
On top of that, it makes no sense they'd randomly kill-off such an interesting multidimensional character like Leliana, yet leave us with a predictable, drunken drawf. I was amused by him at times, but his act got old real fast with me.
Guess I should hop on the band-wagon and suddenly start loving Oghren... since, you know, we don't really have a choice in the matter.

I believe he is just saying we'll never be able to see her again because it's high probable we'll be never able to see also our character in a sequel...
Would you be happy to see her again in a future sequel if we'll have to play it with a new character?!
NO... if my character would disappear she has to disappear with her because it's estabilshed she stayed with her forever..

Meh, I may not know most recent Bio games well ... but I strongly remember BGII. Romances continued in the BGII expansion ToB. Given that DA:O was billed as the "spiritual successor" of BGII, I kind of expected it here as well. Further Bio themselves implied that the expansion would have romance in a roundabout way with the epilogs. Several endings have Zev & Lel explicity helping your Warden rebuild the order. What is Awakenings about? Rebuilding the Order.
All that said I don't expect to see Leliana again anymore. I will miss that voice.

I think it's a good Idea, but then again Bioware has the final say, and they also have a limited budget.
