Is it me or does Kaidan come off a bit gay? I mean the way Kaidan was talking when we saw him in the game about how great Shepard was and how he was a legend sounded like more than great admiration and sounded a bit more like physical attraction. Even in Mass Effect 1 every time Shepard approached Kaidan on the Normandy as he wiped the sweat from his brow looked like something I would expect to see in Brokeback Mountain, I half expected a dialouge option where Shepard asks Kaidan if he has any more pudding.

There wasnt enough gay romances in the game, sure the game lets you try to flirt with Mordin but then later on down the track gives you the awkward talk about how he isnt into humans, at least he lets you down gently.

Nah. If you mod in the gay romance with him and M!Shep he does the same thing.

And M!Shep even checks Kaidan out while Kaidan is walking away.

If you don't romance anyone in ME1 Kaidan is the one who comes running for you on the normandy and its like you have a bromance going on

I was looking for the "Kill Kaidan" button all throughout ME1...glad I got it during Virmire. I'd say maybe 1 in 10 people actually thought about that decision.
