Yeah, that's also a puzzler to me. If the Asari are monogendered (ME1) and a species of females (ME2), how is it that they are also null (if and only if FemShep romances)? If they're actually null, then the codex entries are all wrong over both games. Not to mention the bizarre mental gymnastics require to assert that in the absence of a male sex, 'female' ceases to have meaning as a descriptor. Seriously. I wish they'd just admit it's fanservice, and stop using tortured 'logic' to dismiss its presence as a f/f same sex LI. Also, accept that people interested in m/m would like a little fanservice, too.

Its not even bloody logic because the IN GAME CODEX says the bloody Asari are female.
