They used to allow people who RPed very well to play specialized 'monster' races. (humans with lycanthropy kinda count as a 'monster' race)
(too much parenthetical speakz )

@Lucy, i hope this doesnt come off the wrong way but anyway to experience a storyline from a different perspective, werewolf, vampire, heck even something crazy such as a some kind of water semi humanoid reptile is worth putting into the game if it fits in. With DA i have yet to play it to offer my opinion on if traditional werewolfs would fit into the lore here, but this is a fantasy setting and imo, anything is possible. There is a vast and wonderous world out there in the DA Universe and Bioware can add anything to it.

Only because parenthetical speak is awesome (becaue you know, it helps you to further describe what your trying to say while marking it as unneccassary to readEodrin wrote...
I'm not certain it's still up an running, but it was Exaria. (I think they're on Exaria 3 now though, and would take some persuasive RPing a regular character, to get a DM to allow that sort of thing).

Everytime I join one of those online gameplay, NWN, NWN2 things I never can get into them. It isn't because i don't like roleplay (I run table top games on occasion.) Plus, it always seemed like I missed the boat, you know? Like everyone started in the world a few monthes ago and are high level and now I'm in that beginner zone and no one cares about me...
lol.
@Pandatheif, check out a table top role playing game called Werewolf the Forsaken, really cool stuff and a unique view on werewolves.

Who knows what the mod community will do with DA:O though; if they're half as involved as the NWN community was.

About a year ago I started playing Baulders Gate 2 a lot. It's not from my time (I used to watch my dad play when I was younger , maybe like 12?) but I downloaded a lot of the mods for that, and they've done some pretty crazy stuff there. So, I wouldn't doubt that someone would be able to come up with something awesome like the werewolf thing (maybe with a dragonage-esque spin on it.) if there was enough interest.Eodrin wrote...
Yep. Neverwinter Nights and NWN2. The sky is definitely the limit with a game like that.

Yeah, that can be hard. I rarely find table-top role players and honestly most table-top groups don't last very long. I only had one that lasted long. Fun reads though, lol. I think it may be a dying art.PandaThief wrote...

And honestly i still havent seen Twilight and never plan to..i think of that movie as a teenie bopper type movie and hold it with a grain of salt when it comes to Vampire lore. So Vampires are still very much cool in my book =D

Well the twilight vampires aren't even vampires (sad that i know this) they are golems for sure. I have a lot of World of Darkness"Vampire The Requiem books, so, whenever someone makes vampires look bad I just go read those for a bit and feel better about them.

Anyway, my friend convinced me to read the first twilight book. And im the type of person that cant leave anything unfinished, so I HAD to read all 4 books. And each one gets progressively more terrible, and by the end of the last one youre thinking "Im glad thats finished gosh"
On another note, twilight made being pale and staying out of the sun "hot" so I cant knock it for improving my looks

I sincerely hope there wont be a DLC for becoming a werewolf cause it will tear up the lore, the lore symply wont admit a shapshifting werewolf like character. Werewolfs in DAO are wolfs posseded by rage-demons, and ganging up on Lucy wont change that.
You people should stop being so emo about it, if you want werewolfs then get a playermade mod for it, even though it wont be fitting in the game at all.

The one I am REALLY tired of, though, is zombies. Please tell me there are no zombies... and no lava... JUST ONCE I would like to play a video game with no lava
As for werewolves in Morrowind, btw, they were in an expack, and I don't think you can blame them on D+D werewolves specifically... the implementation in the Elder Scrolls universe is connected to one of the Daedra lords, Hircine, but otherwise they're standard werewolves from the European folklore tradition, same place D+D got em.

I suggest you calm down and don't accuse long-time upstanding members of this community of attacking you, especially when they only offer you helpful advice on how you can get your way.
Fact of the matter is, if you want DEVELOPERS to implement this, this kind of begging it just going to get ignored. If you want to get it noticed, put your facts together, present it well in a PM in the form of an idea and hope for a reply in a positive light.
If other modders in the community are willing to help you out, that's their game, but that's neither official nor, from what I can tell in this thread, very sincere.
I'm rather vary of were-wolf lovers myself, since they strike me as awfully kin to furrydom in other circles. And if that's what gets you going, I'd suggest creating a group for it.
