If you've got all the potential LI's lined up, you can go through each of them in turn after the suicide mission as long as you haven't previously closed off a relationship with that person.  So potentially 1 from ME1, 3 from ME2, and then whatever Kelly counts as.  If they add any more in ME3 then it just becomes even crazier.  I've got the feeling that ME3 is probably going to focus more on stopping the Reapers than the soap opera of Pimp Shepard and their potential harem.

The save you import will almost certainly be from right after the collector base.

One more point.

Liara did not sell you to Cerberus. She rescued your body and GAVE it to the only organization willing to spend 4 billion + credits to bring you back. If she hadn't you wouldn't have a chance to feel betrayed by her, because you'd still be dead or you'd be part of a human Reaper. Liara saved your life, and all you idiots can do is whine about her.

Liara got badly emotionally damaged because of what she went through saving your life, and the first thing you do is run off and screw someone else?

She's better off without you.

Then the flag for inviting Kelly up to your cabin would never be carried over.  Any side missions you did after the suicide mission would never be carried over.  Any DLC you do after the suicide mission would never be carried over.  The saved games themselves have a flag on the state of the suicide mission.  When you start a new game by importing a ME2 character you are given a choice of saves with that character.  There isn't a default endgame save like in ME1.

Why would she even kiss you in the first place?  When Liara first saw Shepard, she momentarily forgot about her guilt over giving the body to Cerberus and her paranoia about being recorded so she allowed herself to be swept up in the moment.  She pulled away after regaining her composure.

It doesn't matter if you romanced Liara or not...she still saves Shepard from becoming a Human Reaper pinky toe.

Personally I liked that the Love Interests from ME1 are alot colder in the sequel. As Joker says, the team fell apart when Shepard died. As the commander, you spent your time talking to them and becoming a guiding light (or a beacon to hell, depending on the paragon/renegade path you choose). When you are gone, they grieve and make mistakes. Ash/Kaiden think you're being manipulated by Cerberus and tow the Alliances line of "it's not a reaper threat" (Haven't saved kaiden but I'm sure it's the same). As for Liara, she was an innocent person who had someone she cared about killed, and ended up fighting along a darker path to save Shepard.



As for the "cheating", it's not said what happened between her friend and her, at least not in the two issues of the comic out at the moment. Her friend was a drell helping her to find shepard's body to keep it out of collector hands and to hopefully bring shepard back to life. She's a much darker character, but I think she remained loyal to shepard.



But this is my opinion only. I respect your decision. My first run I dumped Ash for Tali for the same reasons.

Actually, given the ME1 description of the mating habits of them - Why would they even kiss ? Tounge wrestling ? swapping spit ? eww the germs ! ME1 established Liara's love interest as an off shoot of her Prothean fixation coupled with the purley mental mingling with shepard as she 'scanned' what the beacon had downloaded into his mind - Physical contact would be secondary and that only for mating - recall the entire pure blood vs genetic diversity issues among her race - Kissing would seem to be as foriegn to her as the human fascination with the dancers of the asari race - keeping in character and plot line - all asari prominently display their Physical features because they are NOT hung up about the physical and lastly - in ME1 Ashley was a beautiful butt curve - Liara was the rack - I do NOT see kissing as even remotley attractive to Liara - in context.

PURE SPECULATION ON MY PART HERE

its a re ordering of her priorities - she isn't rejecting him she is DENYING herself because she Knows that supplanting the shadow broker(who I beleive is the consort on ther citadel) is more important to the ongoing struggle than the wants/needs of 2 people
