I was happy with it. It took me about an hour and a half to get through. I wasn't going slow either, I am an Elementalist who clears rooms with his Inferno/Earthquake/Tempest combo. The fact I get the Best Armor and The Best Warrior and Rogue weapons in the game in my opinon. (The full armor has a +5 regen on it. And Maric's sword with Calian's Shield gives +5 to damage. Well worth the 5 dollars.) The best part in my opinion is that I start the DLC about 20% into 18, and walked out just 19. That also makes it worth the 5 dollars. Now I head to the Deep Roads to see how my Elementalist handles the Broodmother. Anyone know how to record videos with steam, i think this will be a keeper.

Enjoy the lootz while you can, they're not going into the expansion. :)

That doesn't surprise me. You lost all of you gear from BG1 to BG2 and had to do some save and load workarounds to get it back.

Besides, there will be all new, more powerful gear, and loot is just...stuff. It's the story that sets bioware games apart.

Hm yes, but you had been captured by Irenicus and held for an unknown time in his dungeon, so it makes a bit more sense that you equipment would be gone. Besides, didn't you find a certain pair of pantaloons in a chest somewhere? ;)

But you get to keep your pantaloons here too.

I was just saying it doesn't surprise me. But if it is the same as Bg2, then the first dungeon will be giving you better gear anyway. And for Calin's Armor and Maric's Sword, they are kind of tailor made for Alistair anyway. So once Alistair becomes king you would expect him to continue wearing the Armor and using the sword since it becomes a heirloom for the Royal family. I would be a little upset to loose duncan's weapons, they should stay with the active Grey Warden Commander, Along with the Grey Warden Commander Armor.

From what I've read of the previews, gearing your character in the early party of the expansion is going to be problematic, so if you're importing a character, you'll want to make sure you've replaced all that DLC gear with something else, first.
