Part 4 / The Husk Rush
If you position your squad right, husks all of a sudden get real dumb. Also, consider sometimes stripping armor with guns and using incinerate to kill, instead of the other way around. Incinerate is instant death, which is very handy pre AOE cryo blast. AOE cryo, once you have it, is better since it only has the 4.5 second cooldown, but for now Incinerate is pretty nice.
Also, I talk about some non-mass effect 2 stuff towards the end of the vid. Lets try to keep the Bioware forums purged of that and just focus on mass effect 2. Absolutely feel free to comment or pm on youtube about that sort of thing, just not here.

A very viable strategy.

I was actually amazed about the confusion among the Husks. Well placed. Learn something new every time.

I picked this technique up from a loading screen help that said something like "When getting rushed, spread your squad out." It happens to work really well at this section and on reaper IFF.

I'd love to see an infiltrator guide. I'm interested in what you'd choose as your bonus talent.
I hope his next poll is between Assault Sentinel and some cool type of Infiltrator.
But Gatsby plays Purist and doesn't use bonus powers.
By the way Gatsby, perhaps it is time to make your next poll? Your Engineer is nearly done and you want to give some time for the masses to vote.

You beat me to it. I'm at the point where I've got a bunch of side quests and loyalties to do before Reaper IFF, so, per request, here it is!
What Guide do you want to see next?!

Attack Drone vs Explosive Drone
Wanted to do this late game to give the best impression for which one. Also, I have my poll for the new guide up:
What Guide do you want next?
Finally, let me know if you want to see any specific sections or techniques with the engineer I having already covered. My upcoming plans are the Reaper IFF, Legion's Loyalty (more fun with AI Hack), and The Suicide Run. So if you want something outside of that, let me know.

maybe against YMIR mechs maybe the explosive one would be good choice, they have good dps especially with rockets.

After Horizon (which I died more than 10 times), the game became progressively easier. In fact, after the 2nd Praetorian battle, it was a breeze and I didnt die once.

just a quick question for you, you ever getting bored or playing this game so many times??? Thanks to you im on my 3rd play through, now as an engineer. haha
Bored wouldn't be the right word. Sometimes I get a little over zealous trying to put together a video that I miss out on the story, but its fun for me. Each time I try to change my gender and paragon/renegade, so I get to see new things from different perspectives. Also playing live is a lot of fun and really, really challenging. I've also varied it up between default shepards and imported shepards from masseffectsaves.com, so its kind of funny to see how the decisions some stranger made effect my character. Example: The paragon femshep engineer I'm playing apparently shoved a gun in conrad's face.
Also I'm going to be really prepared when ME3 comes out.
I'm currently uploading a new video where I break my own rules, but the upload speed is appallingly slow, so it may not be for a few hours.

The platforms were not that tough I stood on the beginning platform and used Drone + powers of allies to clear incomming platforms one after another, but that was on hardcore.

I hear that's a bug, actually: for some reason, if you import a game, the only state that happens is that Shepard put a gun in Conrad's face, no matter what actually happened in the imported game.

Part 1 / Dominate Build, Squadmates, and A tip on using the Toxic Canisters
By request, I'm doing this mission in combination with Dominate. Dominate fits right in with the engineer if you liked how the engineer plays on levels vs geth. However, Dominate, because of its stun effect, is, like many of the bonus powers, a weaker version of AI hack used in a different way.

Really looking forward to your next couple of guides - I particularly like the first few of a series. Seeing how combat plays out in general, and what route you're taking the character.

very interesting, wouldnt the longer single target dominate be increase its effectiveness, since they do get knocked down for a bit in the beginning, that time is lost, where as if you have the longer lasting one, it will more or less compensate for that knock down time?
Its kind of a wash in my mind. Your going to be casting it almost as often as possible anyway, I figure why not take the group version and hope to pick up more. As you can see, they will not only fight other enemies but each other, which is a lot of fun to watch. I usually take improved when I go for Geth, but thats cause geth special enemies, like Destroyers, Hunters, Rocket Troops, and Primes, are a lot more plentiful than merc specials. A vanguard is just a normal trooper who occasionally uses a warp. A destroyer is a beast with a ridiculous flame thrower. But either one is good, I just find Group to be more entertaining. Improved lets you use your other abilities more often, so you can throw in some incinerates and whatnot.
For collectors, I suggest improved.
