In this section, I take on the Bloodpack in full force. I show off how the combat drone will go anywhere, and how cryo works to absolutely decimate Krogan.

When you do the shuter run if you cast the drone past a shutter Garius warns you that you've gone too far and the shutter controls are behind you.

Cant wait to see more engie vids from you, loved the Adept ones.
I actually picked Neural shock as my bonus talent, and use that against krogans frequently.
Since its insta-cast, its great as an "oh shi!" button if they have started to rush you or a team mate.
Instantly incapacitates them if you got their defenses down in time, and makes them easy pickins
Plus its fairly fast on the recharge, and I hate the defense abilities since they lock you up for far too long when you most need them.

hehe no need to bump good sir. I've just been really active with my Adept guide today, so I haven't had any new content. However, I'm actually recording the commentary on part 3 of Mordin's recruitment tonight.

It gives me something to watch when I get bored or side tracked off ME2 or am on my lunch break at work lol.
hahaha. Well I did do 5 Adept videos today so I hope that was entertaining.

By the time the Cryo Engineer won the poll, I had already started an Assault Sentinel for some "in your face" gameplay. I'm very low level for now (just after Freedom's Progress). I will bring Jacob with me most of the time and get quad incendiary ammo as fast as possible, and I plan on acquiring powers in the following order :
- Cryo Blast (1 point) for early damage boost and anti-krogan.
- Assault Armor (10 points)
- Warp (1 point) for anti-armor and situational biotic
detonations (when Miranda is not in the group)
- Max my passive (Guardian)
Since I will have Miranda in the group for biotic detonation, already have Throw for instant killing pulled enemys and squad incendiary ammo for dealing with armors, I though I could dealyed warp for after I maxed Assault Armor.
Considering your experience with Assault Sentinels, does that seem reasonable to you ? What would you advise ?
PS. Important note, I'm playing with a newly created character (I wanted to try canon story) so I started at basic level.
PPS. Sorry for my bad english.

First of all, thank you very much for the guides, both Engineer and Adept are excellent fuel for thoughts.

I am interested in the whole Assault Sentinel concept. The Sentinel class itself simply isn't as appealing to me as the Engineer, mainly because they have no real powers to assist them with vulnerable (red health) targets aside from Warp. I've also noticed that they kill relatively slow and that their style in general is more defensive than anything. I do intend on making an Assault Sentinel designed for aggression and hope to somehow give an offensive Sentinel a name for itself by making a guide for it after.

Cryo Blast would fit that purpos, I guess.
My basic strategy will be to, first strip defenses (warp / overload / pistol with incendiary ammo), then freeze with Cryo Blast, and finally kill with a mix of Assault Armor Blast, Melee and Throw. I'm not sure it's going to work as good as I planned, but I'll keep you informed...

I'm going to do a video on a general assault sentinel tips / build pretty soon, but not go level by level like I'll be doing for the Engineer. Also the way I play it may not be the most effective (I think it is) but I'm trying to play the way I think the class was designed.
My core strategy is to use the Assault Armor as a "killing blow" type move. No one is better at stripping defenses from enemies than the Sentinel because of both overload and warp. And because the sentinel has excellent survivability, they can get very close to the enemy in a short amount of time. So what I do is I use the abilities to strip defenses from a group of enemies, then come out of cover and let my shield blow up. This will cause a knockdown on all of enemies without defenses in an area. I'll then close the gap and use my guns and melee at close range to rapidly execute multiple enemies, and i'll throw out throws and cryo's to keep enemys i can't attack from reactivating. I do this a few times in my montage video. I'll try to post a video today.

Aye, that's what I have been doing on my Sentinel. It's very efficient. I'm looking forward to seeing your video, as always.

I have a tangential question, though: How is it that Jacob had Squad Incendiary Ammo at level 7? Does this come from using an imported save?

I put all the Points I had into the ammo ability. I am using an imported save to get to level 7 before the mission. Squadmates don't get additional points for being part of an imported save, but they do get more points per level very early game, before it drops to one or zero.

Part 3 / The Fans
The final part of the mission with the fans. I almost die trying to be aggressive and beast, instead of using my tank, Jacob, to go out in front. I also talk about some of my build plans and why I don't use bonus powers. And let me just say I'm not saying that they aren't fun period, but just that they aren't fun for me to have shepard use.

I imagine you'll cover this in a later vid, but how do you plan on dealing with enemies with barriers? Are you going to largely rely upon your squadmates for those battles?
