On my first paragon playthrough I didn't want to diss Garrus as I was awkwardly romancing him (well, it seemed I was trying to coerce him into bed :/ ).

But on this play through I went for the paragon side of the quest, and I thought it was a bunch more fulfilling than going along with Garrus. If you consider ME1 where he shot the hostage taker with the hostage in front of him, it is really gutsy to stand infront of Sidonis. The writers did a fantastic job of linking the Dr. Michel quest with his loyalty quest.
