I just reached the collector ship level, and decided to choose the sniper rifle to see how it suited my vanguard.

It works okay but to my dismay, there seems to be a bug where the sniper auto-zooms while my vanguard shepard casts a biotic power. Ugh.

Anyone else have this problem? I found a thread on the Xbox 360 tech support forum here stating exactly the same thing so I'm guessing it's not just me. Maybe I should choose the Claymore shotgun instead.

I've also noticed this problem, quite annoying it is too.

This happens for any ranged power and with any ranged weapon. You automatically zoom when using powers. It just so happens that snipers have a very evident zoom (scope) compared to other weapons.



This got really annoying for me, playing infiltrator.

So, is this considered an issue to be resolved, or just a "tough luck" issue?

It may just be a tough luck issue for now, since it is not entirely game breaking. However if Bioware dedicates a lot of attention to patching it probably will be patched.

Had this one when using incinerate as an infiltrator on insanity. One exception though is the reaper iff mission where everything worked just fine (had Zaeed and Grunt with me, who made this mission pretty easy).

I suspect "tough luck": "it's not a bug, it's a feature!" as they used to say, though that in combination with the weapons being drawn when landing, post conversation etc and the compulsory "it's all over" when re-holstering even without a shot being fired... it's all a bit annoying.

I especially enjoy the way the zooming in feature leaves me at the mercy of snipers etc when I'm really down on my health, too.  <_<
