Hey all, just wanted to give a heads up to a possible bug that I have encountered in the game with regards to a wall bug, as in passing through walls. I have redone the bug three times, each with varying degrees of severity, but it happens as long as you do the following:
When in Omega, on the task to recruit the doctor, right when you reach the clinic, if you hang near the left side of the corridor where you meet the guard and the two mechs, if you walk up to and move up against the receptionists' desk, you will get pushed up into the ceiling if you continue moving, and once you stop, you will be stuck in the ceiling. You may need to move back and forth against the desk counter a few times, and you will need to be moving towards the counter, whether facing it or facing alongside it while moving against it. And if you get stuck into the ceiling, or get behind the desk or walls, you will need to reload from a previous save since then you are now stuck.
I have gotten it to allow me to run around the ceiling, and even dropped down behind the desk and was able to run around through the level, which found that the level sections will initiate a long load (which I can assume is trying to load all the info for the section you are in which would normally be loaded in chunks on normal exploration) and you are unable to move through the walls into the normally passable areas. I dunno if this is related to the mechanics of taking cover, since the area is just right after you are considered in a no-weapons zone. In either case, this is a small issue, but if this happens here, there's likely a possiblity that it could happen elsewhere, and if stuck, you will be force to reload if that happens.

The wall bug is prevalent everywhere in the game. I believe it is a bug in the Unreal3 reacting to how they coded the maps.
Likely they will release a patch to correct it. Otherwise try and not hump the walls while playing the game and save often.

Strange thing is that this bug never occured to me in any other Unreal Engine game but both in ME1 and ME2.
Quicksave and load (F5 & F9) are your friends like yorick mentioned.

Yea, I saved often, especially since I'm running my first game on Veteran. I never had any wall issues in ME1, but this is the first time I've come across it in ME2. I guess I was right to assume it may happen in other parts of the game. Too bad I like humping walls, they usually help keep me alive.

That is the only bug that i usually run into, and I always have the same thing on my mind:
"Curse you Quick Save you didn't warn me!!!"

ME1 and ME2 were coded differently, even among themselves. ME1 and ME2 both use different file types.
It's all how Bioware specifically coded the maps to react with the engine. They did tweak it in their own direction and this glitch is an example of some of the side effects of doing so.

It very rarely occured in ME1, but ME2's engine and maps were tweaked. This is especially prevelent in the fact that ME2 uses different file types then ME1.

There were clipping problems in ME1 as well, but given the larger, more open areas, they were harder to run into.
