I LOVE the fact that I can use my DA:O character on the forum, why not have the same for my Shepard? I mean my game account is already registered, so it shouldn't be too hard to make it possible to import the pic.

Take a picture of your Shepherd, either via Prnt Scrn on the PC or your camera (with the flash off) on the 360, crop it to your liking, and upload it to your photos in your BioWare profile.  EDIT: But, that's as far as your can go, you can't load that pic as your avatar unless you use the hack only for the PC version (see below posts).

As far as the DA:O avatar, that was done using the online character creator.  ME2 didn't have one like that.

Therein lies the question, if we are given a unique code for our character face, couldn't we just type it into a special part of BioWare's website, and they create your own ME2 face for you, and you make it your avatar for this forum?  It would be awesome to be able to do that!

(It would be also easier than doing all that above to get your Shep as your avatar, not to mention better quality).

So yeah, BioWare, when you have some time while your doing all the awesome things you do, can you hop on that?  :D  Thanks! :innocent:

Mhm... okay I am kinda blind here, how exactly do I get one of my pics to show up as my avatar? I created an album and uploaded two pics into it. But nowhere do I see an option where I can use those as my avatar :(

I thought it would be there, I see some people with unique avatars pretty often.

Well, sorry that it didn't work. Next time you see someone with a unique avatar, just message them and ask how they did it.

You have to manually replace a Dragon Age character profile picture in your DA:O save folder, delete your character on the Bioware Social Site, then reupload the data by making a new save with that character.

Unfortunately I can't do it, because the Social Site refuses to update my characters (the info on my profile is months out of date). It sucks too, because I had a perfect profile picture all ready for upload.

I had to try multiple times before getting my pic updated, the whole update thing works on a "it works when it damn well feels like working" basis.

So, your talking about the PC version, right? Any way to replace it with a Shepherd from the 360?

Xbox users can't make custom avatars.
It's a website hack that can only be done with the PC version of Dragon Age.
Apparently, Bioware is OK with this.

It stinks too because we have a code for our faces.

Why can't we just plug it in somewhere in this Social website and get an avatar for it?

Well, I tried that... and as you can all see it didn't exactly work :(

I don't know why, but it somehow messed up my original character and now will not upload any new information or character at all... This really sucks. I just don't understand why they wont let us use custom avatars to start with. I mean we can already have custom sigs with images, so what's the big deal?
