I just finished the Redcliffe part of the plot and Arl Eamon has basically just made Alistair his official heir to the throne candidate (although we're not at the landsmeet yet). We still have to get support from the dwarves and the elves though, so at this point I can't really move that part of the plot forward.

Thing is, my character is already pretty much best buddies with Alistair - 100 approval rating and, okay, I even started saving games before talking to Alistair at camp to make sure I don't accidentally say something stupid. Alistair's sad face makes me sad

Anyway, you would think that after Arl Eamon's pronouncement, Alistair would have something to say, but I've run out of conversation topics with him and he doesn't seem to have any opinions on the elves or their forest or the werewolves or anything, really. All I get at this point is "ask away!" and that bit about the Grey Wardens. And with the intensity of Alistair interaction earlier in the game I just miss talking to him.

Do I have to play through Orzammar and the elven forest without any input by Alistair? Because that's a long time for him to have no opinions on anything. And the worst thing is that he keeps having these little background conversations with Wynne and Leliana. I feel rather left out.
