How many competitors does the USA have in comparison to the other participants?

Well, considering we have 300,000,000 people or so, we have a pretty large pool of atheletes to draw from. Germany has been putting up a fair fight, with 14 medals to our 23. Norway has 11 (Viking power!).

Haha! We are 150 times smaller in population (and 500 times smaller in area), but we were better in a super-g. Still, Austria pwnd us both

Congrats, US. Hopefully we'll have some great games with the men's and women's hockey.

We also have a super-top secret research facility in Colorado to make scientifically advanced athletes that live off of Gatorade, Wheaties, and endorsement deals.
Joking aside, the games are going well for a lot of countries. I think I still prefer the Summer Games over the Winter ones. Maybe its due to my lack of understanding of this snow stuff...

What's there to understand? For example, in skiing, you go down, on a certain track. You must pass all the checkpoints and skip none. Fastest to cross the line wins. Pretty much like every racing sport out there...

Though I'm from the US, I never really "root" for any one team. I just like watching amazing athletes kick ass.

Best moment for me was today when one of the ski-cross races was won by Errol Kerr, the Jamaican skier

In their hearts. The snow exists within all of us.

And me country stays on 2. Well, at least we can say we have a high medal/population number. 1/1,000,000. Beat that USA
Seriously though, big congratulations. To every country in fact.

I'm enjoying the games so far. That hockey game between USA and Canada was awesome. As a matter of fact so was the Russia vs Czech game. I didn't see the late game. I was worried that the players on the teams wouldn't be giving it their all but man I was wrong. Team USA showed some great emotion in last nights game.
I even liked the figure skating and I'm not a big fan of that event. The russian, apparently was extremely mad that he lost. Figure skating always has controversy, it seems.
