I've seen numerous posts on the internet that Mass Effect was the first game that made them cry. Well, it's maybe not the first game in history to do that, but this time it wasn't because the game was awful and you just wasted your money but because of the emotional content.

So here's the confession thread. Did you cry? If so what was the weapiest moment for you? I did, several times, I think the most emotional moment for me was Miranda reuniting with her sister. Shame she was such a **** and I had to get her killed ;)

EDIT: Interesting to see some of the things that get different people. Some, like Ashley rejecting Shep, didn't get me at all. Most interrrrrresting....

I'm too manly to shed tears for the fallen.

ME2 is the first game that made me feel bad, though. Tali was so upset when I said I was gonna go with Miranda...
Ffs, I played Fable II where I'd make my family live in crap, go visit to spread some STDs I picked up, get a few prostitutes along the way, hear my son in rags get all happy that his daddy is home and say he wants to be a hero like me when he is older, then go next door to my next family and I'd be having fun.
Then Liz Sroka can make me feel bad for not getting in a fake commited relationship.

I cried when Urz died.

He should be resting by the Chief Scout. He'll be up and about the next time you visit Tuchanka Posted Image

No, no I did not. Yes, it's because I'm an exceptionally manly man.

I did. A few times. Miranda's sister was one of them, Tali's loyalty mission (where she finds her father, the message from a mother to her son) was another. There were a few other points, as well as parts that broke my heart a bit.

This isn't the first game that made me cry -- Metal Gear Solid 4 made me cry a few times. But then again, the movie Up made me cry, too. The first 20 minutes were so sad.

Eh, I'm kind of wimpy like that.

There weren't any moments in ME1 or 2 that made me cry 'cos ME isn't nearly emotional as MGS for example.(though there were plenty of emotional moments in ME2)

I've only cried at the ending of MGS3. It's too bad BioWare doesn't have Kojima's directing skills (I agree that the story is somewhat of a mess, but the presentation is much better than in ME)

I think I nearly cried in Indigo Prophecy and Broken Sword 3. It's too bad Heavy Rain isn't on PC

The most emotional moment in ME1 or 2 was probably the paragon ending of Miranda's quest or Jack's sex scene

The only part of ME2 that I found really moving is after Tali's trial and Shepard says "Come on Tali Zorah vas Normandy, lets go home." Other than that I thought ME2 did not do as good a job of bringing the drama as ME1 did.

If we're talking about rugged man-tears, then there may have been one or two when the new Normandy was revealed.

Tali's loyalty mission was a tear-jerker for me. Sadness at finding her father, and then joy at the paragon speech.

There were other moments in the game, but that's the one that stands out the most.

But thank god they don't have his editing skills.

I didn't cry. But at the suicide mission I had a heartbeat of like 200 and very sweaty hands haha. At the last cutscene I was like: No MIranda don't slip of the platform! Don't die Legion! AARRGHH. And it was a HUGE relieve when the ship flew of with everyone onboard, alive :)

I don't think a game made me every cry but Dreamfall was pretty emotional.

ME1 or ME2 didn't make me cry but I did find some scenes to tug at the heart strings. The paragon ending to Miranda's loyalty mission was pretty emotional. As is Tali's loyalty mission when she discovers her father's body and what he did as well.

Wow!  You are such a dick.  How many families did you have in Fable 2?

Though i guess I shouldn't really blame you.  You don't really connect to your family that well in Fable 2 and there really doesn't feel like there is much consequence for cheating on them.

Didn't cry, but went 'noooooo' when Garrus nearly fell off the platform after I killed the reaper.

Cried, ... no, not really. Even in the first game not. But I did rage as hell sometimes, especially worth noting when I got the Reaper Larva down to maybe a third of his health and when I pack out the cain to finish the job (only 5 Heavy Weapon Ammo upgrades and Terminus Armor, hence only 175% Energy for the "Nuke Launcher") charged, aimed right when the reaper charged for his attack, finally shot just when the reaper slightly moved to the right and my round missed it. I was like *RAAAAAAAAAAAAAWRRRR* *YOU *BEEEP*, I'LL *BEEP* KILL YOU SON OF A MECHANICAL *BEEP* !!!

I packed the Cain, unpacked the M22a Shotgun, ran into enemy lines (hardcore difficulty!) and literally obliberated the Collectors standing in my way, collecting the two Heavy Ammo Packs, changed weapons to the Cain, and charged. I stood there out in the complete open, charging the Cain and again aiming at this frickin' reapers head (this time in the middle of it, not the vulerable eyes as before *grrrrrrr* ) while it did charge its own heavy weapon attack.

It was like chicken game, ... but I shot first right between its eyes. That was like:

"WHO DA MAN, BASTERD! WHO DA MAAAAAN!!!!!!"

That's just about 10 minutes ago!

Only thing that nearly got me was the romance with Jack... whole thing is just so damn sad. Nearly, but not quite there for the eye leakage... so very nearly.

I got rather angry when Urz lost a pitfight (before I found that he has a bit of a character shield for things like that), and I felt a little anxious doing the whole biotic-bubble part of the finale... sitting here saying to myself "come on girl, don't quit on me now..."

Ya... I teared up plenty of times... quite often, it was from the heartfelt messages I received after the mission. But, I cry at everything. My wife gives me a lot of grief over it. ;)

Saving Kelly...

Reuniting Miranda...

Chakwas's awe at being rescued...

Then, there were the throwaway lines that made me feel 10 feet tall.. like Miranda, "I never planned on the Eclipse, but they never planned on you." Or Tali's "I got better... I got you."

I'm such a wuss.

Thane's romance had me crying. Having the Normandy revealed was a bit "YAY, we're back!" moment that had me grinning for several minutes and the suicide mission. Well lets just say I was afraid like hell that someone would die. If a fave squadmember would have died during that I'd probably cry as well. >.> This game just involves all emotions for me. :P Sadness, happiness, awesomeness, fright, the occasional RAWR RAGE moments.

I cried the when I initially played through Horizon on Insanity. The tears started to fall on the 4th or 5th attempt. Then something clicked, I succeeded right when I was ready to say 'screw it' and bail on the achievement, and then tears of utter joy flowed.
