I got teary eyed and shivers was sent down my spine when I saw the reaper fleet moving towards our galaxy, Felt bad for Tali and Mirandi during their loyalty missions but nothing more.

Not sure about actual crying, but in the weepy way... the whole intro scene. I'd spent weeks playing ME1 to get all my variant endings, and the death of Normandy 1 and Shepard was just heart wrenching.  (I'd managed to avoid any and all spoilers except for watching the trailers)

And of course, Tali's loyalty mission when she finds her father.

Nah.

Not that I cried at Mass Effect 1 either, but nothing in ME2 is as touching as Vigil, saving the Destiny Ascension, or I Remember Me. Miranda and her sister comes the closest tho, that was a nice moment.

OH god.... "I remember me." side mission............ wow. That one was.......... rough. *nodnod* Gets me EVERY time.... my husband makes fun of me for it. LOL
Tali's quest, when she finds her father.... 'nother major tear-jerker for me.

Tali's loalty mission has to be the one moment that has hugely moved me emotionally.

Also I don't even want to think about what the ending will be in ME3 as I don't want to see the end of this great franchise BioWare has given us...

Oh man...

I guess I'm too desensitized to start crying over it, but I did get emotionally charged in a lot of the situations in the game.

Didn't cry, but got sad when after the Collectors abduct the crew EDI asks Joker if he is OK and he says "No, but thanks for asking". That was a really sad part for me. Also Miranda's loyalty mission was very emotional...no tears tho. I did, in my greatest moment of geekery, applaud as the credits rolled after the Suicide Mission.

I only cried prior to ME2's release when I realized what they were doing to my favorite ME1 characters (i.e., sidelining them).

No crying in ME2 though.

I think I may have had a tiny bit of something in my eye when I heard the Salarian dad talking to his Asari daughter about buying her mom a fish.

The intro got to me, the part when Shep gets blasted into the wall and then into space, seeing her struggle for dear life...gives me goddamn shivers thinking of it.

Too beautifull...well in a way, the scene was perfectly delivered and made me think: This is what gaming should be.

I never really cried hard, but the trilogy has elicited more emotion from me than any movie/game/book has ever done before:

- Normandy getting gutted and blown to bits = sadness and a whole lot of anger

- Meeting Tali on Freedom's Progress = yay! I missed you too.

- Reveal of the Normandy SR2 = Shivers of happiness

- Garrus choking on his own blood = complete and utter shock

- Mordin's loyalty mission = Very, very dismal; brings me down every time.

- Miranda's loyalty mission = Reuniting her with her sister made me tear up a bit

- "I wish Shepard were here..." = Pausing the game to wipe away a single tear.

- Tali's loyalty mission = Pretty much every emotion to be felt came through here, cried twice :(

- Ashley on Horizon = Hey, I thought we were friends! Made me pretty damn sad.

- Wrex reuniting with Shepard = WOO!

- Tali's romance = massive amounts of cute and seeing her devotion was really special (Thank you for doing it right Bioware!)

- The entire suicide mission was like the best energy drink I've ever had. My heart was going a mile a minute and I was tensed up for the entire hour of playing. Pretty sure I was unable to sleep that night.

There were a whole lot more but those are the big ones.

I haven't cried... but I have got all teary-eyed and close to it at 2 points:

1) Tali finding her dead father was the saddest moment in the series for me and people with any heart... I got all teary-eyed and my heart was in my throat

2) Mordin dying... he and Jack were the only ones that died for me, and Mordin was just so likable

There have been other very sad points in the game, but no others that brought me to near-tears

Getting Garrus, when the leader of the Blue Suns shot that explosive and blew off half of poor Garrus' face. I thought he was dead.

Tali seeing her father dead.

It may sound strange, but closest i was to crying was in ME 1 when... credits shown up. I mean, this song has something that made me kinda emotional... dunno why.

[edit] this song :

Second closest encounter was tali sobbing ''damn it'' in shepard's shoulder.

Not cry. It's called "man tears". And they happened as the piano music played as Shepard was spaced.

Joy-full moist was had when Joker and the new Normandy were revealed.

Also when Tali was revealed... and Garrus... and the end of Tali's Loyalty mission (the way Shephard knew to say "home" was just too much win for me to handle). And then when Kaiden came back there were a few, but when Wrex recognised me it was like AHH!

Sad Tears were had when her father was found, and the loudest "oh **** NO!" I've ever said at a video game (outside of multiplayer) when I saw that support beam crushing her at the end (she lived though).

Yeah, I pretty much cried the whole game.

haha! This is what shows the developers are doing a good job. Never before have games had this strong of an emotional response

If we're talking about rugged man-tears, then there may have been one or two when the new Normandy was revealed.

This.

As far as being the first video game to make me cry... ME2 is about 2 decades too late.  That honor belongs to Lufia and the Fortress of Doom.  The music to that one still chokes me up a little. :crying:

Naw, that was a definite 'lump in the throat' moment the first time, but no tears.  Second play, nothin'.

Oops... forgot. I also cried when the Turian Councilor dismissed the notion of Reapers.

From his tone of voice as he struggled to maintain an aura of arrogance, I could tell how deeply tormented he was. How the obviously false bravado behind his haughty tone was merely a thin mask for his own tortured insecurity. I could see the nervous muscle tremors traveling up and down his arms as he bravely lifted his hands to make "air quotes" - hands that he had obviously wept countless tears into over the impending doom of the Galaxy.

Yes... I cried for that brave, brave Turian. God bless him!
