no game has ever made me cry, the closest any has gotten is Lost Odyssey and the closest it got me was a little choked up.

I used to think that way, but the older I get, the more I've come to realize that the strongest guys are often the ones who're open about what they feel.

I felt like cryinig during that part on Illium where you have to talk to this Asari mother that lost her husband and kids.

Yeah..that was emotional.
Strangely the happier moments shook me up more than   the sad. Like hearing from the Rachni Queen--that choked me up. Tali also choked me up some, and Miranda's sister. Seeing Wrex and hearing him say "Shepard, my friend"....was amazing.

People who thinks ME 2 is an awful game should GTFO and get shot in the leg like Conrad Verner, i hate haters. The only type of people i hate.

On-topic:

The saddest moment was when i found the body of Tali's father (but i didn't cry, but i was still moved by it), the most "epic" moments was during Tali's trial, paragon charming the admirality board (litterally pwning them), the ship fight past omega 4 relay and when you destroyed the collector base, and Miranda disobeying TIMs orders.

I rarely cry. Really only time i remember crying after a movie, or game was the ending of The Lord Of The Rings - The Return Of The King.

Cry? no, nothing to cry over... the level of writing needs a serious injection of drama I'm afraid before I would cry. Cried from laughter when I seen the reaper human, my god terminator on steroids plus plus, and a flash back to Nightfall Guild Wars.

He's initially glad to see you and then goes nutso about you being with Cerberus.

I've seen numerous posts on the internet that Mass Effect was the first game that made them cry. Well, it's maybe not the first game in history to do that, but this time it wasn't because the game was awful and you just wasted your money but because of the emotional content.

Nope, can't say that I did. Only time I've ever cried in a game is whilst playing Lost Odyssey. Though watching Tali find her dad's body did make me go:  :(

Nothing in ME2 even remotely got me close to shedding a tear. The whole thing felt far too disconnected to care about, and I spent most of the game detached and in some instances extremely bored.

ME1 may have gotten close on occasion, but even that failed to make me shed a tear.

I felt sad for the Collectors at the end. That's probably the only part that really got to me... since my mission was successful. Hard to say what it would of been like had I lost a few crew members (or myself).

Edit: Oddly, the only game that has made me cry is a weird one. Mother 3, the entire final fight is so tragic. And they weren't manly tears :crying:

I felt sad for the Collector General. He's all magical yellow-eye control thingy and then is finally free.
But dies.

Ok, I laughed, but that's only cuz of his "OH ****" expression at the end.

I never cried over either ME, but if you really want a video game to make you shed tears, go play Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. If you don't at least have to fight back a few tears when Zack dies, you have no soul.

Only thing that nearly got me was the romance with Jack... whole thing is just so damn sad. Nearly, but not quite there for the eye leakage... so very nearly.

Same here. I've never cried because of a video game and I probably never will. But when Jack gets all emotional and looks at you with those teary eyes, that just pulls at your heart.

Glad I wasn't the only one.

Parts moved me, but nothing made me tear up.  I did want to throw something at my very expensive TV after Kaiden on Horizon, though.

I don't think I ever cried, which is strange because I'm a big blubbering vagina when it comes to the stupidest things.

I did get the chills and the nice little heart rise thing aplenty, though. Particularly to the music and the cinematics on the suicide run. So all is not lost.

I cried, literally, during the Tali's loyalty mission... THREE times, two of which were a short burst of sadness followed by some tears, and one of which where I really cried and had to stop playing, stand up and go clean my face full of tears. It IS the first game EVER in which I've cried that much, the only one that comes relatively close is ME1, no others did it so far, but that Tali's loyalty mission is brilliantly crafted and very poignant emotionally.

Additionally, I've had a tear the first time I went to the Normandy's crash site, at first it wasn't that rough on me, but the more I stayed there, the more I saw those flash backs, the more the ambient sounds got on me and the more I was emotionally moved, then I saw the flash back of Ashley and it was too much. I'm a freakin' sissy in games when things like that happen, but I don't mind, if I can be emotionally moved or "concerned" in video games it just means it's really good for me, very well made.

Nothing in game came close, Tali's loyalty mission was emotional but not tear worthy. But some of the writing and less than brilliant decisions from BW almost had me in tears.

Nah.

Not that I cried at Mass Effect 1 either, but nothing in ME2 is as touching as Vigil, saving the Destiny Ascension, or I Remember Me. Miranda and her sister comes the closest tho, that was a nice moment.
