Most emotional moment for me was going to the Normandy crash site.

Ya that was really sad. Especially the first time I went there.

The normandy crash site was spoiled for me by the monument. I mean, where was shep keeping that thing? Was it inflatable?

Lmao I know I was thinking the same thing. Well the screen goes black for a second. Maybe Shepard walks back to the shuttle, lifts it up somehow and carries it over to the spot. Or it is infact inflatable haha.

I cry everytime Legion's nameless combat drone dies...kidding. Uhm. Not that it would surprise me if I did.

Seriously though, I think I got a bit teary when Shepard met Ashley again on Horizon and she didn't want to rejoin the team. Also, during Samara's, Thane's, Miranda's, Mordin's (I was surprised to see his empathetic side. His VA did an amazing job with the "Pointless. Pointless waste of life." line) and Tali's loyalty missions.

So, uh. Yeah. I nearly-cried pretty often. Don't hit me, or I'll cry about that, too!

There were a few touching scenes, but nothing especially heart-wrenching. I didn't cry in ME1 or 2. Thane almost got me though. See, Bioware underestimates the power of orchestral pieces and climactic build up. You can't just slam the tragic story in front of us. Gotta introduce it gradually. Hint at it first. Needs some delicate piano pieces. d:

Ohh, the most touching part for me was in ME1, saving the Destiny Ascension. :D

If only they'd included the moment when Shepard shed a tear, remembering the crew, as the thing slowly inflated using an internal pump of some sort. Tragicomedic gold!

Does tears of laughter count?

If yes then you betcha. Suicide mission going strong and epic. Then we platform up and BAM the epicness plummet to zero and is replaced by tears of laughter! A giant human robot!. The epic moment ends in tears.

Fan-fricking-tastic!. ^_^

I cry tears of frustration when characters from the game blame me for decisions that BioWare forced down my throat. For example, When meeting Ash/Kaiden they say something like "I'll never work for Cerberus. At least I know where my loyalties lie" and I'm like "I know, I know! Take me with you". Yeah, that's where I cry.

Other than that, there are some moving moments on the loyalty missions but not enough for me to cry over.

There weren't any moments in ME1 or 2 that made me cry 'cos ME isn't nearly emotional as MGS for example.(though there were plenty of emotional moments in ME2)

I've only cried at the ending of MGS3. It's too bad BioWare doesn't have Kojima's directing skills (I agree that the story is somewhat of a mess, but the presentation is much better than in ME)

Boss...:(

Edit: Oh and I didn't cry at any point in ME1 or ME2...but the part that made me sad was...losing Grunt and Mordin.

I have to say that was a bit preposterous (putting it lightly). But I got over it. Kinda. It did look cool though.

If it does, then I gotta say that paragon punching Zaeed on his loyalty mission made me laugh so hard, it could almost count as crying. Oh, Zaeed. That must've wounded his pride significantly <3

Ha! I didn't exactly laugh when I saw that thing, but I sure did have a "WTF" expression on my face.

I did not cry but I was much more emotionally moved then even ME1. Seeing Wrex again, romance scene with Jack, most of Tali's loyalty quest, and a bunch of others. Biowares writing moves me like no other games.

I was quite emotional over Shepard reuniting with Wrex. Way better than the rest of the squad reunions.

Having said that, I don't think there was an instance that left me in tears.

The last thing that did that for me was Vigil on Ilos.

Ey, stop bashing the human reaper ... he's cool. He's the only one to survive two full blown Cain rounds. If that's not worth liking it, I don't know. And I always love to blow it up, with one single Carnifex round after two Cain hits. That is almost as cool as punching the Colossus to death.

oh yeah, definitely - I lost it when the Normandy one came sweeping in to rescue the council - Talk about your suicide mission - Sovereign's beams ripped thru the alliance armor like wet t paper - honestly, on my first play thru I thought the Normandy was going down in heroic flames - would have been a better death than the lame( but needed) opening to me2

The only thing that brought me relatively "close" to tears was Miranda's sister, probably

Maybe followed by Thane's backstory and his son

I don't understand why some people say that they found Vigil particularly tear-worthy. I get that the story he tells is pretty tragic, and that the situation he's in is sad, but I didn't find anything to be that gut-wrenching - at least not compared to some of the other stuff.

I'm not trying to mock, I'm actually interested in hearing why.

Haha, yeah. It seemed like Wrex was the only one genuinely glad to see you and not afraid to show it (Garrus :P). "Shepard! My friend!"

So bashing it is wrong, but firing several nuke strength rounds at it is OK? That's one hell of a set of warped morals you have there mister! :wizard:
