It SUCKS to say this, but any part where Bioware implemented their graphic "tears" really got to me. So the Asari racist on Ilium, the Asari who lost her family locket, Miranda after speaking to her sister in her loyalty mission...all those points were pretty damn touching and emphasized with those tears.

Damn it, Bioware! You played me like a fiddle.

I don't think a game made me every cry but Dreamfall was pretty emotional.

Oh yeah, Dreamfall. I randomly came across that game on xbox live and downloaded for fun. I have never been so impressed by a game, not saying it was the best game but I knew literally nothing about it so it blew me away. I always wondered how a game can be so good with so little gameplay in it. Nevertheless it was a very powerful experience. I think that it why I was underwhelmed with ME2, I just knew what was coming and nothing shocked me.

I did not cry , but at the start of the game when my shepard gets blown out to space, the quiet, then the gasping for air,and then the piano starts.Epic stuff gave me goosebumps.

Tali's loyalty mission was a tear-jerker for me. Sadness at finding her father, and then joy at the paragon speech.

There were other moments in the game, but that's the one that stands out the most.

Agreed....that was a very emotional mission.

No tears here, but the suicide mission was tense. Even though I had everyone loyal and made the best choices I could, when Garrus stumbled a bit from a shot to the gut, I almost freaked out. Seriously man, it was a close thing.

I agree as well.  One of my favorite parts of the game.

I don't think I cried at all in ME2.. I do remember welling up though when I became a Spectre in ME1.. It was just an incredible moment in the game that filled me with pride.. OK well now that I think about it I think I may have welled up a little during Shep's speech to the squad in the Collectors ship at the very end..

I never cried over either ME, but if you really want a video game to make you shed tears, go play Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. If you don't at least have to fight back a few tears when Zack dies, you have no soul.

Too true, that and Lost Odessey made me cry. Oh and the first Ten minutes of Star Trek (2009) pulled a few heart strings.

Nope. I think the closest I ever got to crying was the scene with Tali's dad. That one got me choked up a bit. I also came close to tears of joy when the SR2 is revealed for the first time, but I guess that's not really what you're asking.

There were plenty of moments that induced rage, however. Such as stupidly getting Mordin and Legion killed during the suicide mission. Can't imagine what me reaction would have been had I also manged to get Garrus and Tali killed, even though they were with me the whole time.

People who thinks ME 2 is an awful game should GTFO and get shot in the leg like Conrad Verner, i hate haters. The only type of people i hate.

On-topic:

The saddest moment was when i found the body of Tali's father (but i didn't cry, but i was still moved by it), the most "epic" moments was during Tali's trial, paragon charming the admirality board (litterally pwning them), the ship fight past omega 4 relay and when you destroyed the collector base, and Miranda disobeying TIMs orders.

I rarely cry. Really only time i remember crying after a movie, or game was the ending of The Lord Of The Rings - The Return Of The King.

when the thousands of people get down on one knee to the hobbits?

I didn't shed any tears either, but I was upset or saddened by most of what people have posted here.

The 1st Normandy getting blasted apart, getting spaced, etc.

I guess my biggest moment was the Tali loyalty mission as well. In my first playthrough I didn't even KNOW she could be a LI so I was treating her like the little sister I thought of her as from ME1. When she finds her dad and starts crying, the paragon "Hey, hey, c'mere" option, it's what I would have done for real in that situation. That was a good one.

I was incredibly upset losing Zaeed to a BS stray shot while closing the doors in the Suicide mission, since he was a "DLC character", I didn't think it would matter if he bought it, but sure enough, he counts. Annoyed. Had go to back and do it again with different people. Oh well.

There were some good emotional scenes in ME1 and 2, and I hope Bioware continues the trend with 3.

Cried? Nope. Get pissed of because of how certain characters reacted to you (like, maybe, Ashley and the Council), the forced missions, and the lack of gear? Yup. Although Ashley did almost make me cry. I just wanted to smack her so bad, and I... I just couldn't.

The only time I ever cried during a video game is while playing Lost Odyssey, during Lirum's death scene. Even then, it was just a technical cry, as in a bit of water left my eye due to emotion.

Like others have said, the sr2 reveal. goosebumps and tears of joy followed. There were other events that had some impact to them for me, but they never went past goosebumps.

Beyond that, the main emotion I felt with me2 was anger at the fact that shep is damned if he does, and damned if he doesn't.

A couple of moments had me with tears in my eyes but I wouldn't say I cried.. In fact there's only been one game that has made me cry and that was Final Fantasy 7 when Aeris is killed.

The Ash reunion (While they were hugging, before it got bad) and the apology letter she sent. When I read the poem Tennyson at the end the floodgates opened. That was the only part that drew tears, but there were countless 'almost but not quite' moments.

The only time I cried was on my last playthrough when some of my crewmembers were killed. I think a glitch occured because I was able to rescue Chakwas and Kelly..etc. in time. My ship was upgraded so there were no deaths when we were passing through the relay. Also, no one died during the suicide mission either. There were no death cutscenes. So after it's all said and done my Shepard is walking around the cargo hold and this sad music plays as she touches a coffin. I think there were three of them. So I was very surprised and then I was like, "Nooo! Who did I lose?!"

Ugh, those damn oil slicks utterly ruined almost all the emotion in those scenes. The doctor on Illium sticks out as being particularly bad in my mind.

I was seriously, seriously happy Tali has her helmet during her own emotional breakdown, otherwise not even Liz Sroka's phenomenal voice acting could have saved it.
