Simon Templeton: Are you sure this is the right line for Loghain?
VA Manager: We confirmed with the lead writer, that's what your character says.
Simon Templeton: It seems out of character.
VA Manager: It must be some kind of in joke.
Simon Tampleton: Okay then ~ahem~…

**Weeks later in the frozen north**

Loghain on screen: I love you and want to have your babies.

Something to get one through the winter, no doubt about that.

I wouldn't mind her showing up for a few minutes in awakening so I can kill her.

I hate to leave loose ends like that.

If Morrigan returns in a future DA game I sincerely hope that it's done in a way that does not force a canon ending of the choice regarding the Dark Ritual. It would render one of the more poignant questions in the whole game meaningless.

I also hope that Morrigan remain's what she is, ultimately unattainable. In my opinion it would ruin the character if you could suddenly have a "happy-ever-aftering" with Morrigan in a sequel. She is perfect as she is - a bittersweet memory of something that was never meant to be.

This is utterly and completely hilarious. Although, I must say, that having coffee coming out of one's nose is a bit annoying.

Agreed, Herr Uhl. It would at that.

It's humorous to see some people cling to their prefered ending. *They* picked that ending and *they* consider it awesome, so obviously BioWare will make it canon. Even as someone who prefers the Dark Ritual ending, I only see a bunch of people setting themselves up for disappointment.[quote]

Of course the way other people played the game.  Yours was the proper way and will be the way Gaider writes it in his book(s), right?

But you are right that I will be disappointed if Morrigan doesn't return and bring closure to the issue.  She was the most relevant companion to the story next to Alistair.  Maybe more so.  For the half a million of us (or whatever number) that performed the ritual, we're gonna want to know the consequences of such.

In fact, the leader writer (David), had said that he views the proper ending as the Loghain redemption one. So much for the game 'pushing' you to dark ritual.

Not sure how you figure Loghain's redemption has anything to do with the Dark Ritual.  If I recall from one discussion, Loghain himself can do the deed.  I personally didn't do it, so I cannot say for certain.

Helios, I think there's a misunderstanding in part here. According to David Gaider, Loghain's redemption is him killing the archdemon. If he was involved in the DR, he wouldn't die. At least that's the way I read it.

Got it - makes more sense now.  Still want some sort of resolution for those of us that did take the ritual.
