In ME1 we had several quests that brought up your past (Tooms, old recording, gangs) and they were really interesting. In this game they are all vanilla and pointless.

Is that he side quests are shallow in comparison the the first game. I'm not talking about the MAKO, I hated that piece of ****. But I'm talking about DIALOG. There is absolutely NO dialog in any side missions. It makes them boring. Every single mission is "enter the base, clear out the merc/mechs.

if you mean missions aside from main plot/recruitment/loyalty missions, doesn't having more than double the amount of main missions make up for it?
