As long as they're in the game files, I can't see any reason Bioware wouldn't include at least some of those. Surely more variation is good?

Well, the money argument is outdated. Anyone who can afford a console and the more expensive games for it, could for that money buy a capable gaming PC too. Since the hardware race has slowed down significantly, it really is so.
