I think the most likely reason the specializations don't port back into Origins (which I was hoping for, along with the expanded talent trees) is because they are balanced for higher level characters. And at least one, Legionnaire Scout, you presumably learn from Sigrun who you can't meet in the Origins campaign, so the other specializations may be similarly plot-based.



Until it's out, we won't know for sure, but I'd suspect those are the main two reasons they don't port backwards.

probably because it would require them to be put (i.e coded) into the original game, as well as the talents and such, that and they are geared for higher levals.
