I didn't remember that. I'd still argue that the Chantry seems not to be as influential in Ferelden politics as I would expect, coming at it from a Chantry=church in medieval Europe point of view.
I think the Chantry is quite influential. It's Loghain who never cared much about the Chantry (Mother Bronach, or what she was called, will do that to people).
But the Couslands for example were very devout Andrastians - they did have a private chapel in their keep. Bann Alfstana's younger brother was given to the chantry as templar, very similar to medieval noble families who'd send the third son to join the clergy.
