current melee is awesome. i'm actually glad they did not put in the haymaker that was considered. current melee is smooth and efficient, great for husks and charging into krogans to prove your dominance.

Not a bad idea, but this could escalate into even more dumbing down, from RPG-Shooter -> Shooter-RPG -> Shooter.
It wouldn't be a bad addition, but the more it feels like an RPG with great fast paced gameplay, the better in my opinion (these little tweeks to gameplay drastically take away the feel of an RPG game!). These little additions make games feel to arcady(?) and its not what I want from an RPG.
Also, its spelt melee.....
