I thought of this during the interview with Al-Jilani. She should definitely be in ME3 (not just for a third round in boxing) because she could gauge the players in who they are with romantically. Think of it as Tabloid journalism. Al-Jilani will ask the usual question to try and smear you, but her last couple of questions should center around who the Commander is romantically involved with. Could start with "Words out that you're romantically involved with..."

1. Ashley/Kaiden: She'll criticize the Commander for fraternizing with a fellow soldier, etc.
2. Liara: Asks about Liara's questionable activities with the Shadow Broker, Cerberus and her being the daughter of Benezia.
3. Miranda/Jacob: Is it professional to be personally involved with a terrorist?
4. Jack: Why would he be romantically involved with a murderous psychopath? How does that reflect on humanity for being with her?
5. Tali: A quarian?! You know they're all thieves! She's probably just wants to be close so she can steal top-secret Alliance stuff!
6. Garrus: How does it feel to sleep with the enemy?
7. Kelly: Unprofessionalism of being involved with the secretary.
8. Thane: Assassin this and that.

Shepard can defend their LI in a paragon or Renegade fashion, back down and weaken their relationship with their LI which could lead to a unique conversation with their LI. This would not be that huge to implement and would actually make Shepard's relationship feel more involved in the game mechanics since his/her relationship is not mention anywhere outside the two characters.

Photomanipulated, no less.  So that it'd be your Shepard's head on someone else's body--same with the LI.  'Cause not many people are going to be able to get an actual photo of your Shepard while he/she is out on a mission, you know.

I like the idea, OP.  Romance shouldn't be the biggest thing in the game, but I think it is important that it feels a little deeper in the third and final game--and that it feels "resolved," along with the rest of the plot.

Emily Wong seems to be more interested in Politics, Crime and Poverty rather than Celebrities. She wouldn't be interested in Shepard's personal life but more of his achivements and missions.

Yeah, but... photomanipulations are so much more fun than real pictures.  I mean they could get a couple  actors together in bed and... You get the idea.   Spice it up some?  [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]  Oh man I can see the tabloid people scouring for willing actors to play Shepard and an alien romantic interest...  I can bet most wouldn't be tremendously interested in the job unless it just paid really, really well.  Also, you should be able to buy a copy of said tabloid.

Emily wong is a good journalist and a good person. Disappointed I didn't get to do a quest with her, they obviously had her voice actress back to do it.
