Yea this is really a great idea.. I hope BioWare sees this. Like people have mentioned above it lends a lot more to the relationship that you have with your LI.. Thumbs up..

Yes!  'Cause she'd be all bluish, and barely tinted to a normal flesh-tone so she'd still look odd.  Not sure how they'd do this due to modeling, but I guess they could use your appearance code somehow.

Remember Dr. Chakwas talk of Kaiden's power display to Jenkins. He's perfectly capable of doing that to someone, I doubt Al-Jilani will jump up and say "That was awesome!" though.

I support this idea, especially the possibility of several unique responses to her from different LI's. Give the LI immersion a bit more to make each one special.

-Ashley- She'd just deck her knowing her personality.

-Liara- Possibly a more violent biotic power display, throw her over a table, into a tv, or something.
-Jack- A much more violent power display, probably slamming her into a wall or into a crowd.
-Miranda- Knee her in the stomach perhaps, or maybe pull out a pistol and pistol whip her could be good too.
-Tali- I wouldn't think Tali would do something physical but it's possible she could use some tech power or maybe even just threaten her..."You know I have a shotgun?"
-Garrus- Everybody loves a good Garrus Headbutt, so I fully approve of this earlier mentioned.
-Jacob- With his personality I'd go with tell her off but he could unleash mayhem as well. Maybe a 'biotic bluff' or something.
-Thane- I believe he would definately tell her off, or tell her to find another target, he seems like the one out of everyone that would say something spiritual like just spout out a mantra over her soul, or he could do a good old fashioned threat or memory sequence that weirds her out, or any combination of the above.
-No LI- You give her a good old fashioned right hook, enjoyable before, probably just as good now.

Still, having an interview and/or tabloids lying around would really make it feel like yes, others did know what was going on between Shepard and you-know-who.  I don't honestly see how it could be hidden in the first place, since just about everybody on your ship can know--even if you never bothered to tell them.

I vote for there being radio rumors before you end up getting sprung for an interview.  "Rumor has it that Commander Shepard has been dating _____."  All celebrity paparazzi like.  There could even be a video clip of actors who look nothing like Shepard.  Or better yet, an advertisement for some product or another starring a fake-Shepard (or actors who played the squad in the movie that's advertised in ME2) with his/her LI.  Hey, if this is gonna be done, let's have it be done as amusingly as possible.

I could see some of them as a renegade option of that person, but some of them wouldn't think twice even if you were trying to be paragon. Just because the last few months have been 'life-changing' doesn't mean Jack wouldn't lose it and beat someone to within an inch of their life, especially where Shepard would be concerned.

I do like the outside of interview ideas brought up too. The radio rumors followed by an ambush by Al-Jilani, then her attempting to slander you with video adds after you make her look stupid/hurt her, and radio adds talking about her getting fired would truly be awesome!

I doubt her common sense would prevail on that topic. She's the epitomy of the 'bad reporter' vibe, and with a story like Shepard, where intrigue and strife follow him like a shadow, there's probably no depth she wouldn't sink to for those kind of stories.

Yeah, you should have the opportunity for something like in Dragon Age, where characters you've spoken to more have a dialogue trigger when you're romancing someone else. They can then comment on who you're with and question you about it.



I imagine Kelly, however, would want to know all the juicy details--especially if you happened to be romancing an alien. More frightening, she might have advice on the matter. I think I'd rather get advice from Mordin. At least he's a doctor, and you don't have to wonder if he's slept with the character you're chasing.

Yeah, that same ad thought I was romancing Thane when I hadn't flirted with him at all--whereas my Shepard and Garrus were an item.  I think it may be more to do with who's in your party, but what do I know?

I LOVE this idea in general, it would be a great crowning moment of awesome for the romances! Full support here. I love the paparazzi idea too, and really, if people are selling VIs of Shep, they're obviously using your image for other nefarious purposes.

Hmm, I have yet to get one of those adds, though I've been recently dead many times now.

It's only on a specific ad pillar, though I can't remember which one.  You can cycle through them if you wait around for each to finish to eventually get it.  For Femme-Shep it's about a biotic amp.  I'm not sure it's even based on your in-character relationship because, like I said, it thought my Shep was with Thane, and she wasn't--unless I was friendlier to him than I thought by listening to the guy.  Maybe they assumed my Shepard dug him because she managed to tolerate all that angst.

While you were trailing the Turian, Thane was spreading rumors, that's why he kept checking in on you, make sure you hadn't figured out. Alright enough derailing the thread for me.

No, no, it'd be hilarious if you were without a romance and she insinuated that you were in one with one of those characters (or any of them really).  Then unless you answered very carefully it should manage to look like you really were with that character.  It could be based on who you kept in your party most.  So if you're a Femme-Shep, maybe she thinks you have an unrequited love for Miranda, for instance.  If you're a guy, maybe she thinks that comeraderie with Garrus goes a little deeper...
