It's only on a specific ad pillar, though I can't remember which one.  You can cycle through them if you wait around for each to finish to eventually get it.  For Femme-Shep it's about a biotic amp.  I'm not sure it's even based on your in-character relationship because, like I said, it thought my Shep was with Thane, and she wasn't--unless I was friendlier to him than I thought by listening to the guy.  Maybe they assumed my Shepard dug him because she managed to tolerate all that angst.

Listening is enough with Thane to 'dip your toe in the water' romantically with him. You may have been further along with Garrus but hadn't likely shut down Thane.

Darn that Thane.  He just wants to be loved.  So badly that he'll tell EDI that Femme-Shep is all over him, apparently.  Not that he isn't a cool character, but he's a bit angsty for that playthrough.  And I haven't even begun a male Shepard yet (I prefer playing my own gender, but I usually play a guy at least once to see what's different between the genders for the game).

Punches are so boring, rather give me the option to headbutt the person like you can do to Gatatog Uvenk

First, I'd like it noted that girls don't exist on the internet, it's a myth. (Don't hit me!)

Second, Just think, when you start your male Shepard, you'll be getting Jack confused instead, not Thane...hopefully.

I think Jack can be romanced by Femme-Shep, and it is hard enough to keep her from getting confused as it is.  The trick?  When you realize what the flirt dialogue options are, pick the neutral dialogues (or the renegade ones I suppose might work as well).

Also, given my age, I think it's safe to say that I'm not a girl, but a woman. ;)

I believe she responds with the "I'm not in the girl's club anymore" style line when you do seem to pursue it. Though I would agree she gets confused at the littlest things.

Mordin is like that too though! He's apparently used to it though and great at turning people down.

What?  Mordin can be pseudo-romanced?  I haven't seen it.  He's always too busy testing biological weapons or curing Joker's disease.

Yes, he can! He turns you down though, and explains why he is so devilishly handsome, at least to the Male Shepard, though he should do the same to Females. His reasons for being attractive to each race are great.

Took a little bit to find it but here it is. Interesting thing is I think the ending lines are the very same for male Shepards.

Mordin turning down Shepard.

It could be that the renegadish teammates, like Jack, would kick her in the nuts right away themselves, but the rest would defend themselves with words and Shepard could react in different manners.

Reporter: Liara's totally not cool.

Liara: Your words cannot hurt-

Shepard: FALCON PUNCH!

I thought of this during the interview with Al-Jilani. She should definitely be in ME3 (not just for a third round in boxing) because she could gauge the players in who they are with romantically. Think of it as Tabloid journalism. Al-Jilani will ask the usual question to try and smear you, but her last couple of questions should center around who the Commander is romantically involved with. Could start with "Words out that you're romantically involved with..."

1. Ashley/Kaiden: She'll criticize the Commander for fraternizing with a fellow soldier, etc.
2. Liara: Asks about Liara's questionable activities with the Shadow Broker, Cerberus and her being the daughter of Benezia.
3. Miranda/Jacob: Is it professional to be personally involved with a terrorist?
4. Jack: Why would he be romantically involved with a murderous psychopath? How does that reflect on humanity for being with her?
5. Tali: A quarian?! You know they're all thieves! She's probably just wants to be close so she can steal top-secret Alliance stuff!
6. Garrus: How does it feel to sleep with the enemy?
7. Kelly: Unprofessionalism of being involved with the secretary.
8. Thane: Assassin this and that.

Shepard can defend their LI in a paragon or Renegade fashion, back down and weaken their relationship with their LI which could lead to a unique conversation with their LI. This would not be that huge to implement and would actually make Shepard's relationship feel more involved in the game mechanics since his/her relationship is not mention anywhere outside the two characters.

The characters LI is mention once outside of the ship in an add on the citidel later in the game.

Al-Jilani attempts to smear Shepard over his LI...

{renegade interrupt AKA "falcon punch"}

Shepard: "You seem to like it, b*tch. If I were into sado-maso, I could romance you..." {walks away}

BTW: Didn't we get a mail from that other journalist (Wong)? As far as I know she is nowhere to be found. Or am I missing something? A bit off-topic. I know.

Turian Councilor: "As a Spectre you represent more than the Alliance, Shepard. You should remember that when you are seen in the Citadel fraternising with a known criminal..."

Jack: "Who the **** is this guy?"

Shep: "Believe me, I've been wondering for a while now..."

Turian Councilor: "The news networks have been having a field day with this 'relationship' of yours."

Jack: "Hey, eat me, ****face."

I'd pay to see something like this :)

You don't know how tempted I was to make a Turian Councilor air quote joke over this. But that could be even more depth, where your personal life is poked and prodded at every point in the game.

I'd love to see something to this effect in ME3. It was such a shame that shep's relationship was hardly acknowledged in ME2 aside from Mordin, I'd love to see her trying yet again, or just random teasing from squadmates like in DA:O

Well seeing as ME3 is the final game of the series (though I kind of wish they'd make another set in the ME3 universe, just... not based around Commander Shepard and the Reapers--it'll be sad to let go of Mass Effect...), I think our desire to see the romance finally mean something ought to be taken into consideration. Not that I'd demand it. I'd just be happy with being able to choose how to resolve your character's romance. Like, choose to go off with a romantic interest who is no longer available for the squad, or discuss future plans with one who is. Then again, we don't know for sure that Shepard will survive ME3 to do so. It would kind of stink if he/she doesn't, but at the same time, it would close the final chapter out definitively.
