3) I'd like to see truely turn based combat.

Why? That's an awful idea.

Why is that an awful idea?  Turn based combat is at the heart of PnP games which Dragon Age is trying to reproduce in a computer game.

Sorry for my slow response, been at work.

Turn based, at least for the majority of people, me included, just isn't engaging. DA's wasn't exactly gripping, granted that that's not the point, but it could be improved on with a return to KOTOR's animation system, which was at least prettier to look at most of the time. I can see the appeal of turn-based for some people, but overall I think it's inclusion would generate many more complaints than compliments.

Also, sorry I was so dismissive, another few threads were getting on my nerves and I wasn't in a good mood to start with.

I understand what you are saying but the developers could at least give those who do like turn based (and there are more of us then you would think) the autopause at the end of each turn so we could que up our actions.

I love the combat how it is, I like the death blows even though it temporarily removes control... just getting that out of the way first.

Do we know that there are indeed 'turns'? It seems when I que a spell it casts immediately, even if it is not in sync with other abilities being used. I am not sure you could do a pause after every 'turn' as I don't think a universal turn exists... I could be wrong though. If I am, than I don't know why that wasnt toggleable in the options menu in the first place (In DA:O) unless its a real b!tch to code.

As always, double post is not intentional.

I would like to see more vivid item descriptions and histories.  There's 17 or so great ones in DA, but [ast bioware games (sorry to bring up BG, IWD, NWN) had amazing stories, descriptions and histories of a countless number of items with a hand-drawn picture of the item, very cool.

Other than that, improved environment textures...the characters are fairly high res and the ground is low res so it creates an awful contrast in my opinion.

3. add a voice to the Char during conservations

No.  This would be a terrible idea.  BioWare should absolutely not do that.

What I want for DO is basically the same game DAO was (obviously with a new story), better documentation, a text box for dialogue history and combat feedback, and an entirely new inventory system (no lists).

Otherwise, DAO was terrific, and I don't want any of it changed.

Bring back the old party for sure, more clothes/armor options would be cool, otherwise it's fine I think:)

I was reading an interview about Awakening and the interviewer asked if Bioware would ever tone down the gory violence. Please dont. If someone is really disturbed by how violent a video game is then dont play it. Violence is a part of DA and to have it censored or lessened because of someones complaint would be disapointing in my opinion.

Besides there is already an option to turn off blood spatter anyways.    I left it on for a good long time..but now have it turned off. :)

The story and events are good as is...no need to dumb it down for someone who might not even play the game.

Look under options..you CAN set the game up to autopause before a battle.

Otherwise I think the turn-based would be less exciting way to do things.  I tend to play in real time..no pausing.

I can't imagine playing any other way...would be too boring for me. :)  I set my tactics up..my group protects each other and away we go.  If I see its not working as I planned, my PC goes and helps out..where the thick of the fight is.    Don't need turn-based for my purposes.    :)
