The Revenant because of it's unparalled sustained dps and huge ammo capacity.

Revenant machine gun.
It makes problems go away.
Here here! A pity you cannot get the geth pulse rifle on veteran...that would be my first choice!

The only thing the Cain is good for is Praetorians and the final boss and maybe the thresher maw.
4 sec charge time exposes you to enemy fire so you have to hide behind a wall and time the shot right, if you don't you have a mini nuke blowing up in your face.
my favorite all round is the Carnifex hand cannon accurate with nice damage, or the claymore shotgun give a vanguard his/her Claymore and they are basically unstoppable. Collector PB is the best Heavy weapon imo, kills stuff like nobodies business

Either the viper sniper rifle or the revenant. The Viper is satisfying because it's so fast paced. And the revenant, because that thing is like a heavy weapon when an enemy is near you.

Tempest or Widow

Revenant, yo. Were I a soldier or merc in the Mass Effect universe, I'd devote every spare cred I had to acquiring one of those monsters. Chewing through armor like paper is a glorious sight.
Claymore comes in at a close second. For Vanguard's it's like a pump-action Falcon Punch. Charge in, and lay an enemy out with a fist of lead. Probably the most satisfying kills in the entire game are when you headshot Harbinger pointblank and he flies backwards, head-over-heels.

This thread is very, very disappointing. The appropriate answer is Christopher Walken.

Ohthankgawd!! I was worried that I was the only one that knew the one true answer!
OT: my favorite way of making bad people go away is Warp; if yer gonna make an unrepentant Adept pick a measley pea-shooter then I guess the Geth pulse rifle is my pick, with the grenade laucher coming in second (due to low ammo), 'cuz nothin's better than a satisfying KABOOM!

My go-to mainstay weapon is the Revenant. For those harder, peskier pests (damn you Scions!), the Cain. I want to say the Singularity gun is my fave heavy weapon, but it just isn't as cool in practice to me.

Mantis sniper rifle + adrenaline = one shot, one kill. Again and again and again. Very nice. And the sound of that thing firing is nicely final.
And a revenant for when they manage to get closer.
Other than that, smacking them to the ground and unloading whatever other weapon is handy into the downed guy is also nicely satisfying, but less common.

Widow.
The name of that gun says all you need to know.
And Claymore with Vanguard. Charge+Claymore=Awesome.
There's no better feeling than a point-blank shot to the face from this beast after charge.
