I can understand if Mordin and Thane didnt return because of health/age problems. Mayybe Legion and Grunt.

Other then that, all the rest better stay.

grun idk about but legion is in brolove with you (maleshep) hes upsessed searched for you in areas he know he could get killed for looking i think he is in for the long hall and if ME3 is anything like i think it wil be we will need him and the rest of the crew.

i think 3 will be like DA:O but who knows either way Legions awesome in my top 5 all time charecters so yea

Yes. If Miranda, Garrus, Tali, and Thane aren't in Mass Effect 3, I'm going to do something drastic.

ME3 has been stated to be the end of Shepard's story not Mass Effect there is a huge difference.

I support this. People should post if they support this.

I want them all in my squad where reasonable. If they're all reduced to cameos I wouldn't be interested much in ME3.

Agreed.

id like the idea of custom building my army... i both ME1 and ME2 your entire squad is fixed in ME1 u had 6 recruits and could only recruit 6, ME2 has 11 if u got Zaeed. for ME3 id like to have say room for 10 members but can recruit from a pool of say 15-20. travelling around the galaxy recruiting the members u want not who BIO say.

Its didn't btw, woe to us with todays youth.

But yes, I do believe everyone who lived in Game 1 & 2, should be in Game 3 & for the most part be in your team.  Be it Active or Passive, they need to be on the Normandy.

I do think the should be in ME3, if they survived. I do not think they should all be squad mates (and I don't believe they will be). Too many characters to develop stories around. I would assume we will see a lot of Wrex/Liara type cameos.

Only a select few.

I feel that most however will have more important tasks elsewhere, Tali, legion and Grunt to name a few.

I also don't get the people who want the exact same squad from ME2 in ME3. Do you have no idea how keeping a franchise fresh works? ME2 worked because we got a new squad, sure, Tali and Garus were there for some familiarity but the point is a new squad brought a new game and a better game to the table.

Keeping everyone from the ME2 squad as your ME3 squad would be a huge mistake from a game development point of view. I don't want my game to be ruined because some people have an e-attraction to certain ME2 characters. I want Bioware to continue the formula of keeping the series fresh but familiar.

They should make the game so we can pick about two of the ME1 and ME2 characters for our squad in each playthrough, that way we can have some new ones plus a few old ones

God I hope not, I love DA:O and all, but I don't need ME3 to be a clone of it.

If you need to keep introducing a brand new cast to keep people interested, then you suck at writing.  Star Wars works off of a core group with a few extras thrown in who don't overshadow the original cast, same with LOTR, The Matrix, Harry Potter, and every other continuing story franchise I can think of.  This is the finale of the trilogy, this is not the time to introduce more new squad mates and try to develop them to the extent of which the ME2 crew was developed.  There should be enough stuff to do in ME3 in dealing with the reapers to keep it "fresh."

No more freakin' recruiting, I did enough of that in ME2. I do NOT want to do it again in ME3.

If there was a whole new squad in ME3, then what was the whole point of ME2? It would be a waste, and of course I need Thane by my FemShep's side. :P

Actually I wouldn't mind if we get a choice of ME1 and ME2 characters but the exact same squad? Garunte it will make Mass Effect 3 feel like Mass Effect 2.5. I also get where your coming from when you list continuing story in franchises, but your missing a key point. All the franchises you listed are films or books, not games. Are you telling me you would have fun with the exact same squad using the same abilities we've already seen in ME2 Because it would be pretty hard to change them without giving an explanation. They can't just say "hey, we gave Jacob some new biotics so he doesn't suck now", it wouldn't work.

I get that ME2 was more about building the team than beating the bad guys as most missions revolved around your team and yes, I want ME3 to be much more focused on beating the bad guys, but I also want to game to feel fresh. Also what happens if I want to get most of my squad killed? I don't think Bioware plans to make this squad we currently have the team we beat the reapers with, at least not the majority of it, I can understand why as well.

They will bring some back, but not all. I dont want all bck anyway. I would rather run into some rather than recruit them. Wrex wont be recruitable, he can do more good amassing an army of Krogan from Tuchanka as the biggest clan leader on the planet. Grunt loves to fight, so I think and hope he will be back. Miranda will, she's hard to kill, Garrus will I think, Tali might, Jack might, Legion will probebly be a really good cameo if anything, leading all Geth to attack the reapers. Mordin might be a docter on the ship, or just randomly on the ship, I dont know. I dont think he'll be in it though, he seems quite old for a Salarian, but he's still cool charecter.

If ME3 take splace after ME2, then i dont think Thane would be dead yet. He might want to live his final moments in peace. But considering they can all die, I would think the ones that are hardest to kill would come back, namly Grunt, Garrus and Miranda, would be back.
