I would like to be able to recruit from a large group including some of the survivors from ME1 and 2. But I don't want them all to join my team, I want to pick 5 or 6 to travel with me. It would make it harder for me, because I'd have to pick carefully.

That's a terrible idea. What are they just guna line up for you and you pick a few like you're choosing a team for high school dodgeball?

That's what I do now.  They line up and I pick the ones I want.

No, I'd like to go to the planet or space station they are living on and just recruit the ones I want to travel with me.  i don't see the difference with having them on the ship and not using them or leaving them in whatever bar they are hanging out at.

If later I decide Jacob isn't working out and i want to recruit someone else, dump him on the planet and pick up grunt from the female camp where he is helping to make more little Krogan.

Never mind.  Now that I think about it, i could do this now.  Oh well.

I do kinda think they're just gonna get you a squad really fast in ME3, mostly because I think your going to be recruiting armies instead of squad members to fight the reapers.  This probably means your just going to either keep the current crop or get the currently known back quickly as to not waist too much time on them.

As much as I hate to admit it I don't think many of the currently benched characters are going to be coming with you, instead, I theorize they will be anchor points for their relitave armies/fleets: Wrex will bring krogan armies with, Anderson will bring the citidel fleet with, kaiden/ashley will likely be promoted and bring the systems alliance with when encountered.  and so forth in that manner.

It is more likely that all squadmembers that were love interests in ME1 and ME2 that survived are going to be in ME3. Those that weren't LI are probably going to be cameos. Also... I wouldn't be surprised if they gave us two or three spectres as well.

I think that your efforts during ME1 and 2 were to get as many people joining your battle against the foreseeable reaper invasion. Therefore, it is safe to assume that everybody you convinced to join you and that isn't dead, will take part in the final battle against the reaper fleet, be it as squad mates or as leaders of their own species' fleets and armies.

But, for the sake of keeping the game interesting, there should be more options available to recruit or convince even more people like Hanar, Elcor, Volus, etc.

Having Blasto, the Hanar spectre shoot Dirty Harry lines at the reapers would be a WMD. :P

Any survivors from the first 2 games should be in ME3 and recruitable. If the Reapers are a threat to all life in the galaxy, why wouldn't they join up with you? Liara....is tracking the Shadow Broker really going to matter when the Reapers are killing EVERYONE? Wrex...is Tuchanka really going to be worth saving when a dozen Reapers surround the planet?

I hope we do not have squad members forced on us and we can truly build our own squad. Make every character in ME 1 & 2 recruitable...but give them the option to turn you down based on decisions you made. Take Ash/Kaidan for example...if you stayed loyal to them, destroyed Collector base, and told TIM to go screw himself then you prove you were not working FOR Cerberus...but using them. Ash/Kaidan join your crew. If you cooperated with TIM....they walk and refuse to join.

Also, introduce new characters for ME3 by having Shephard learn about them through talking with people. This would allow us to hear about someone, then we would have to go talk to other people who may know this character....the more we learn, we decide if we want to go find them and recruit them. This could even be done with expansion packs. Allow us to talk with more people and allow us to learn some new names and a little bit about the new characters for ME3. Or maybe give us an expansion pack with more missions and on these missions we hear about, or even meet, potential squad members in ME3.  That way when ME3 does come out, we already have a sense of the new characters and jump right into the epic fight to save the galaxy.

No loyalty missions in ME3. I enjoyed them in ME2 but let's face it, if the fate of every living being in the galaxy is at stake in ME3, will going back to the research facility you escaped from just to blow it up really be worth it?

It would be good for counteracting Harbingers one liners that's for sure... stupid Harbinger on Insanity difficulty (he annoys you to death).

I think those who survive Shepard's decision-making, in both previous games should make up the final squad. Talk about choices impacting the game! This would be awesome! They should also have a default set of previous characters for those who don't import games. And maybe a couple of new squadmates in case someone doesn't have enough.

No new squad mates unless they are Zaeed red shirts, I want as little time devoted to developing new people as possible, this is the culmination of the trilogy, I want all the development to go to the squad member that I've already grown attached to.

As much as I love DA:O, I really don't want me3 to turn into a clone of it where all you do is get armies and then head to the final mission.

I think so, actually that's all Shepard should get. They keep saying consequences of choices in ME2 will be 'dire', but they also said it's very hard to have all of your squadmates survive at the end of ME2, when it's a piece of cake.
