Well goddamn it.
Maybe my xbox was just old. Lots of Halo 3, Lost Odyssey, ME1 (six playthroughs), Fallout 3 (all DLC, 3 playthroughs), Borderlands, Fable 2.  Played the hell out of it. Never had an issue. Then, I get ME2. I couldn't wait. The first one blew me away. Imported my shep from ME1, had no problem. Ran through the game once, then started having issues importing for a second playthrough. Persistence proved to work. Started an infiltrator and an adept. Got about 15 hours between the two, and **** went south. fast. Freezes all over, many problems that had been covered many times in this forum. Then the flashing four lights. Didn't want to send my xbox out for 4 - 8 weeeks (possibly longer, who knows), and still have to pay 140 bux, so i took it to a guy. He popped it apart, cleaned up some pieces, ran it through its safe mode, and put it back together. worked great! He sent me off with some instructions on an exterior fan placement. took it home, played bordelands for a few hours, to be sure it was running right. popped ME2 back in, and sure enough, within an hour, freezing during the krogan recruitment mission, which quickly progressed to freezing before the game even booted up, which even more quickly progressed to my console freezing while bringing up the dashboard, or just after the 'x' symbol came up on screen. I soon got the 1 red light, so i went to the FAQ about it, follwed the instructions, which soon got me to the 3 red lights. upon checking the error code, i get 0110. Memory error/memory overheating. Am I as ****ed as I think i am?

some of you may blame me taking my console to the dude, but from readin all these others on this forum who've had the same problems with ME2, I'm gonna blame bioware for this. I would love to have been able to clear my system cache, or not have the film grain effect, but the game damn wel melted my xbox down before i could even get there.:crying:

X360 is dying. Join the (rather large) club.

ME2 had nothing to do with this, BTW, but think whatever you want.

Every time a big game gets released many players accuse the game <Insert name here> to kill their XBox.

It's just coincidence. You can only blame Microsoft. Never had a console dying on me. My Gameboy from the mid 90s is still working. I just love Tetris ;).

It is just your X360. I imagine other players that have weird graphic glitches and similar have dying X360s too. That is just experience from troubleshooting certain errors on PCs.

Although, I am fortunate that my release day X360 have never broke down yet. And you may think I am cursing myself, but I have said that for the last 4 years and it still works. Maybe I should buy a new Jasper model and store this one in the attic for 25+ years and then sell it as a collector's item.
