well your right i dont know, but after reading acsension and finding a naked quarian being tortured, i got a real good idea that they sure as hell dont look like legolas

I know they don't have ears, but where does it say that they don't have hair?

It says so in Ascension, the book that Drew Karpyshyn wrote - the same guy who wrote all the dialogue for Tali in Mass Effect 1 and likely came up with the idea of Quarians as a whole.

But more importantly, who the f*ck cares that they don't have elf ears or hair? Why is it so important? Why must we constantly discuss Tali and quarians and pictures of quarians and the biology of quarians. WHY?! Every second bloody thread is about Tali/quarians - either "omg I hate Tali" or "omg I love Tali" or "omg I hate Tali supporters" or "omg she don't have ears, yo". I want to talk about something else! Please! I'm begging you!

lol, the great thing about subject lines and different topics is you get to pick what you read.

And I also just read Ascension and it says Quarians have something that pass for ears, so its most likely not elf-ears, but I saw no mention of hair or the lack-of at all

^^ Yes, I understand that, but when 70% of one page is about how ugly/sexy/cute/hideous Tali is my options become more and more limited :<

I thought the almighty Tali thread was for this sort of thing.

Although I hate the idea of quarians looking like elves Ascension really doesn't give us a clue what they look like.

All it says is, they have eyelids, lips, tear ducts and females have mammary glands.

Thats plenty of room for interpretation.

While I agree that they most likely DONT look like space elves, you really didnt have to go off on a tangent and start ****ing, crying, pissing and moaning about the folks who are delusional enough to think they will.  Honestly, who are we to burst their bubble?  If they want to think they're going to be space elves, let them.  That way, when it comes out that they dont, it makes their disappointment even greater.

I want to see a quarian drive a big "mech suit" like in District 9.

There's no way they haven't dabbled with the concept of a bipedal tank; those quarians are pretty fond of both suits and robots!

I found it incredibly helpful against big gangs of husks, on anyone
else you just have to make sure you knock out all the shields first.

True, I'm trying to mess around with the avalanche right now. Not sure how effective it is just yet, sometimes it seems to do nothing, and one time it froze a full health/full armor YMIR mech solid, and when it finally thawed it was dead.

yeah if you have ever worn a cast or ever had any part of your skin confined to a sealed environment you will know that your skin gets extremely gross and clamly and pale.

if anything, quarians are probably the ugliest species in the galaxy, their bodies have definitely undergone evolution in 300 years. their skin pigmentation is probably completely gone, meaning you can see through their pale, opage flesh. they probably do not have hair as this thread implies, no eyebrows or eyelashes etc.

in general, they would probably be extremely gross. but you can deny all that by saying 'no quarian physiology is not like humans and their exosuits preserve them" yada yada.

Actually, BW has said that they already know what the Quarians look like underneath the helms.  Which is what makes all the space elf pics even more hilarious.

Yeah… I seriously doubt Bioware is going to ****** off a large percentage of their fanbase by making an LI ugly.
