This thread has derailed. But I will say that the hair point is an epic fail, Quarians have eyebrows, unless someone can explain that away.

Incorrect. If a lifeform that evolved on a planet other than Earth fits the definition of a mammal, they are mammals.

I don't know why, but I always thought of quarians as having an ultra thin suede-like coat of fur over their entire bodies.

Is it really that difficult to see their faces in game? On a big screen TV you can make out the eyes, nose, eyebrows. All you can't see is the top of their head/ears and mouths. Also you can't make out their skin tone and texture as Tali's facemask has a bluish filter on it, but I'd be suprised if such a filter would smooth out the facial texture. The red ones maybe as its harder to make out their faces, but the blue ones are a bit transparent.

Well Quarians are in Fornax magazine so they do meet the qualifications of being in a adult magazine. Guess they are the other hot race next to asari and humans

No they aren't, they're mammalian analogues.

Yes, but all that's under the mask is a placeholder model and texture, to provide small glimpses of nose/eyes through the mask.

I'd still be suprised if their facemasks obscured their faces entirely, I expect the texture and tone of their skin to be the most obvious thing obstructed.  Plus you don't see their mouths, the lower jawline is obstructed and that could have a major impact on facial appearance.

By that logic I can say a tiger is a mammal, but a wolf is an mammalian analoque. There are criteria that constitute what a mammal is and last I checked "evolved on planet Earth" is not included in that criteria.

Bamboo is not a plant, it's asian plantan analogue. And Nile is not river, it's african riveral analogue.

Indeed. Last time I checked mammal is a being that gives birth "alive" offspring and ******-feeds them. It doesnt matter where in the universe it is born. Perhaps Quarians have different name for such animals in their own tongue but for humans they are mammals plain and simple.

We know they have lips from Acension
and Tali mentions kissing personally. They have lips, which would indicate atleast similar mouth structure.

So similar nose, similar mouth, glowing eyes but similar brow w/eyebrows?  All seems to be unknow is the ears and overall head structure (confused with differing helmets on the male and female quarians).  Plus I would say that their skin would most likely be quite a pale shade if their visors have such an big effect (Tali = blue face, Loghain = red face)

Shut up, you wouldn't know.

It says so in Ascension, the book that Drew Karpyshyn wrote - the same guy who wrote all the dialogue for Tali in Mass Effect 1 and likely came up with the idea of Quarians as a whole.

But more importantly, who the f*ck cares that they don't have elf ears or hair? Why is it so important? Why must we constantly discuss Tali and quarians and pictures of quarians and the biology of quarians. WHY?! Every second bloody thread is about Tali/quarians - either "omg I hate Tali" or "omg I love Tali" or "omg I hate Tali supporters" or "omg she don't have ears, yo". I want to talk about something else! Please! I'm begging you!

I feel your pain bro. The Talimancers are ruining this site and game series. They Story is about Sehpard not some annoying ass mechanic. If keeping tali alive in ME3 ruins the 3rd game its all the fault of you ****ing talimancers.

So they have knife ears? w00t!  :D  And maybe the chick in Ascension had her hair shaved?  I have no idea because I haven't read it yet.  But I totally agree about choosing what you read.  If you don't like it? don't read it... unless your a troll and your just after a flame war... which would be kinda ironic.

Does anyone have a way of linking the page that the quarian is on? It seems like that'd end the argument.

I didn't read Ascension. Is what happened similar to that tortured Quarian similar to Veetor, i.e. not torture at all?

Please kill this topic.

I imagine Bioware is going to take vengeance for the crimes committed by Quarian-stalkers-anonymou and have the flotilla get destroyed in beautiful explosion. All of the Quarians will be dead, no more "what do they look like" topics!

What Cerberus did to Veetor very much was torture, if that's what you're referring to.

The book left the description so vague that we pretty only know Quarians are humanoid, with eyes and breasts.
