Hi,

Was wondering if anyone else has got this issue, and possibly, a solution to it.

It seems the only way that i can take in game screenshots are by using the "print screen" key and then paste the image into MS Paint or similar programme. Is this the only way to do it? (And even this way doesn't work properly every time).
Screenshots taken by me in game, wont show up under the tab "Player Taken Images" nor on the HDD :(

I was under the impression that in game screenshots taken this way,
was automatically stored under ".\\username\\documents\\bioware\\screenshots..", but that folder does not contain any of the player taken images... (only automatic ones taken by the game itself).

Automatic screenshots taken by the game for achievements and the like,
works like clockwork and gets uploaded to online profile and all that without a hitch,
its just the "manual" screenies that seems bugged?

Anyone out there with a possible solution to this?

PS. Running on Win Vista32, NVIDIA Geforce 8800GTS 512MB (No grfx issues experienced yet ingame) and i have patched game  to 1.01, with this still being a problem. DS.

i`ve got the same trouble with screenshots, they are all shown as "grey" in player profile in the main menu of the game.

Is there any solution for this problem?

Althought automatic screenshots do work, in game screenshots will be greyed out and you wont be able to take manual screenshots - problem is in name of the path to screenshots folder. If it contains characters other than english then you have to create another user containing only english letters in his name. Being such a minor bug don't expect this to be fixed anywhere close to "soon", in fact some developers do not fix or recognize this bug at all.

Dawn of discovery, dreamkiller, demigod, many other games had same issue and rarely been fixed in first couple of month's.

It has something to do with the resolution.

My native screen resolution ist 1680*1050, but played it in 1280*1024.

Couldn't take any screenshots.

For a test I switched it to 1680*1050 and it worked.

It seems, it only works if the game resolution is the same as in Windows.

I have the same issue as all you guys, I run it in 1680*1050 which is my native res, but it still doesn't work. It's also crashing constantly when I fight the highwaymen after the swamp.

I have the same problem of the "grey" screenshots ingame, I can see them out of the game but I can't manage them in this way. I would like to have a solution to this issue because I would like to upload some of them.

Just wanted to say that Drapondur's post above fixed my problem. Mismatched resolution causes user-generated screenshots to fail!

I cannot take any screenshots, no matter the key mapping, I wish I could though.

I am having the same problem. I have no non-English characters in my path and my in game resolution is the same as my desktop resolution (1680x1050).

I got a answer from another poster here to it.

First advice was remapping the key but that did nothing.

(playing with 1280*1024)

Then checked again from support and another player mentioned to me to go and fix the .ini file.

I had the same problem! There is a solution..I figured this out in another post. Go into your dragonage.ini settings

C:\\\\Users\\\\*******\\\\Documents\\\\BioWare\\\\Dragon Age\\\\Settings

Find this line DisableAspectRatioCorrection=0 and change the 0 to a 1. So...

DisableAspectRatioCorrection=1

Save and you can hit print screen and locate your sceenshots here...

C:\\\\Users\\\\*******\\\\Documents\\\\BioWare\\\\Dragon Age\\\\Screenshots\\\\User

Now getting screenshots normally with out any problems

ahh.. thus it works when you play in windowed mode, since the game resizes to allow for screen resolution.

thanks.

*edit* for those who can't get it to work even at the same screen resolution.. try playing in windowed mode (Alt-Enter).  I couldn't get it to work any other way. :o
