Tali is such a stuck up Jerk.

Then in ME2 Jacob tries to offer Tali the hand of friendship and she flies off the handle just because he is black? I would like to think that in the future we have gotten past judging people by the colour of their skin. She also tries to kill Legion just because he is a Geth even though Legion did save her life back on the derelict Reaper.
But come to think of it the Quarians are a race of Jerks, they create a race of sentient machines called the Geth, enslave them and then they try to wipe them out just because they asked too many questions? They deserved to get their arses kicked and thrown off their homeworld. Besides the Quarians contribute nothing to galactic society, they all hide on their ships and could not give a stuff about anyone but themselves and their only concern is the Genocide of the Geth.
Quite frankly Cerberus was right to try and blow up one of their ships.

oh and quarians probably wouldn't be the same as they are now if they weren't kicked from the seat of the council

Jacob diddnt deserve Tali's attitude towards him, and after how rude Tali was to him he could have said a lot worse than the AI comment.
And Legion was trying to warn his people about what the Quarians were planing to do to his people, his actions were perfectly justified. Besides the Geth have good reason to hate the Quarians, I mean they did try to wipe them out after all, besides it isnt the Geth who want to go to war with the Quarians but the Quarians who want to go to war with the Geth. The Geth could easily wipe the Quarians out but they would rather find a more peaceful solution.

Did the Quarians have a seat on the council or was it just an embassy

Just an embassy, they were never a Council race. Not sure why they lost their embassy, probably because they no longer controlled any systems and so were no longer a race worth consulting on matters of galactic politics. Not to mention their development of the Geth in the first place was done behind the Council's back and then when it was revealed the Geth were in fact sentient AIs the Quarians attempted to commit genocide and failed. I'm fairly sure the Council would frown upon genocide.

1: Jacob is a member of Cerberus, an organization that anyone from the Flotilla has every reason to hate. Given Cerberus's tactics, this is not an undeserved, not likely uncommon, response.
2: Legion was trying to steal classified data from Tali, and send it back to the Geth. It's rather surprising she didn't simply shoot him immediately - his actions did merit that.

Possibly you have not read Mass Effect: Ascension book. Tali and all Quarians have a reason to hate Cerberus (and not Jacob specifically). Cerberus really did lotsa evil things and Tali could not know it first who's side Jacob is. Also the book also shows Quarians are anything but selfish, they risk their lives for some humans. I really recommend it is a good book (and no it is not mainly about Quarians).

Risk an entire ship, as a matter of fact.

Well, technically they didn't create them sentient and then enslaved them. It was the other way around. They were created as robots to perform simple tasks and then they were upgraded a little too much. And when the geth became self aware the quarians were frightened and were the first to act. I guess I can see both sides of the story.
Why are so many interesting topics posted in the non-spoiler forum? It makes it harder to discuss specific details.

So anyone else think that Tali is a stuck up jerk?
Well...
Jack's a vulgar, psychotic loony...
Miranda's a haughty, stuck up, condescending **** continually playing the subtle sympathy card with her father's history...
Grunt, is violent, aggressive, impulsive and anti-Turian...
Mordin thinks the ends justify the means, no matter how harsh or brutal those means are...
Samara would kill innocents if her code "demanded" it...
Garrus and Zaeed are both obsessed with vengeance...
Thane abandoned his family for a life of killing, leading to an estranged son...
Jacob's every bit as bad as Tali, considering his snide remards at Thane when the latter was recruited...
That leaves only Legion who's not a jerk, so there.

Legion was trying to protect his people, If a Jewish man was caught stealing classified information about killing Jews from a **** soldier of course he would be shot, but if you had a chance to stop it like Shepard did with Tali would you? Do you support the killing of Jews?
Edit: What **** is a naughty word? How about Hitler? Just read it as German
Double Edit: What Hitler is fine but **** isnt? You have a screwy censor Bioware.

Mordin does what needs to be done, sure the genophage was harsh but it was necessary. Mordin never did experiments on live test subjects and anyone he did kill deserved it.

Nice try, but I'm not biting. Ditch the strawman and address the actual point at hand - you're remarkably transparent.
Situation isn't remotely the same. For one, it's the Geth who attacked the Quarian, and have a VERY nasty habit of murdering any and every organic they come across. And here we have Legion, instead of attempting to build bridges and be diplomatic and prevent war and killing, contributing to war and killing.
And there's no comparison to be made, anyways.

Also, Tali is one of the best Mass Effect characters, so go to Middle earth or wherever you come from...
