Tali is one of the best damned characters, i'd marry a woman like her, hell man
anyone else notice she isn't completely against geth, but she is still a bit hostile ta them, but either way
also remember, the geth were mostly broken into 2 groups, and remember if u ask legion how many geth units he responds to, he says about a thousand, and the amount of geth units that follow the reapers.....well... let's just say that numbers aren't really needed; and if you have a problem wit tali, hell u should probly have a problem with most krogans too, since obviously they're so god damned completely unjustified

Jacob diddnt deserve Tali's attitude towards him, and after how rude Tali was to him he could have said a lot worse than the AI comment.
And Legion was trying to warn his people about what the Quarians were planing to do to his people, his actions were perfectly justified. Besides the Geth have good reason to hate the Quarians, I mean they did try to wipe them out after all, besides it isnt the Geth who want to go to war with the Quarians but the Quarians who want to go to war with the Geth. The Geth could easily wipe the Quarians out but they would rather find a more peaceful solution.
Legion was trying to steal classified data from Tali, and send it back to the Geth. It's rather surprising she didn't simply shoot him immediately - his actions did merit that.
Legion was trying to protect his people, If a Jewish man was caught stealing classified information about killing Jews from a **** soldier of course he would be shot, but if you had a chance to stop it like Shepard did with Tali would you? Do you support the killing of Jews?
Nice try, but I'm not biting. Ditch the strawman and address the actual point at hand - you're remarkably transparent.
Situation isn't remotely the same. For one, it's the Geth who attacked the Quarian, and have a VERY nasty habit of murdering any and every organic they come across. And here we have Legion, instead of attempting to build bridges and be diplomatic and prevent war and killing, contributing to war and killing.
And there's no comparison to be made, anyways.
When did the Geth attack the Quarians? In ME1 Tali admits that it was the Quarians who attacked first even though the Geth showed no sign of aggression.
Even the Alarei wasnt a Geth attack, the Quarians were assembling Geth to perform cruel experiments on. Of course the Geth would try to fight back and escape the cruel experiments of their twisted and insane creators.
Besides it isnt the true Geth who attack the organics but the heretics, and even they have good reason to do so. Every Organic they have met has tried to kill them so of course they would be hostile. Legion took a huge risk trying to find Shepard in the hopes of forging an aliance between them and humanity.
But what do you expect Legion to do when it comes to Tali? Of course she would never give him the information he needs, in fact if he ever even approached Tali without Shepard she would blow his head off. Anyway it is quite clear that Legion doesnt want to start a war, when Shepard tells Legion that sending the data back to the Geth could start a war between the Geth and the Quarians he realizes sending the data back is not such a hot idea.

legion is the only contact they've ever had with the peaceful geth, the alarei was full of heretics, not geth, and heretics are nothing but reprogrammed geth, they're just programmed to do whatever hellish task is assigned to them, til death or worst

So anyone else think that Tali is a stuck up jerk? I mean all she really cared about in ME1 was her pilgramage, all she ever talked about was her pilgramage and the migrant fleet, quite frankly she came off pretty self centered to me in ME1.
Then in ME2 Jacob tries to offer Tali the hand of friendship and she flies off the handle just because he is black? I would like to think that in the future we have gotten past judging people by the colour of their skin. She also tries to kill Legion just because he is a Geth even though Legion did save her life back on the derelict Reaper.
But come to think of it the Quarians are a race of Jerks, they create a race of sentient machines called the Geth, enslave them and then they try to wipe them out just because they asked too many questions? They deserved to get their arses kicked and thrown off their homeworld. Besides the Quarians contribute nothing to galactic society, they all hide on their ships and could not give a stuff about anyone but themselves and their only concern is the Genocide of the Geth.
Quite frankly Cerberus was right to try and blow up one of their ships.
Read the Ascension Novel and see if you think they same afterwards

1: Haestrom. Just, you know, as an example.
2: The difference is spoilerific, and BRAND NEW INFORMATION unknown to the Quarians. They don't draw the distinction because they don't know it exists. Either way, massive misinterpretation of what's going on, and seemingly, an assumption that all characters know all of what the player knows. Which is sorta stupid.
3: As she is a member of the Normandy crew, respecting her privacy, property, and obligations to the fleet is absolute basic protocol. Espionage amongst the crew, esepecially under the circumstances? BAD.

Legion would say no GETH was aboard the Alarei

Troll or no troll, OP's point is very sound. He just forgot one little thing. Even in their own society they have some sort of a caste system, with only a few crews they pick their admirals from and harshly exploited working class, like Kal'Reegar. Or maybe they are racist and only Romanian accented Quarians can get privileged, while the decent English speakers are considered the lesser race.
Actually the Quarians as a whole seem to be the subject of discrimination by more or less the entire galaxy. There is one mission on the citadel where you learn that Quarians find it hard to find jobs due to most places have a "Not hiring Quarians" sign, and the few that don't give them dirty looks, everyone including law enforcement presume that they are all thieves and should they prove they are not then people just presume that they just haven't been caught yet, etc. Just make sure you bring Tali along to get the whole story.

i had this preconception of the Quarians through talking to tali in the first game. after actually meeting them in the second, i no longer have any sympathy for the plight they brought upon themselves, considering its their common prerogative to perpetuate the war with the geth.
an legions just overhere chilling like "i donno wtf their problem is, they can have their planet back if they stop attacking us."
and still they want to attack. yeah. no sympathy whatsoever.

Jacob works for Cerberus it's been said how the Migrant Fleet feel about Cerberus so won't go there. Legion is a Geth. Quarians never designed them to be sentient beings and paid their price. If Legion speaks on behalf of the entire Geth, and Tali speaks for Quarians, stopping a war between these two would only benefit both sides. Then we'll have Quarian heretics who believe it's a mistake. Essentially it'll be how society is today with humans...we all want peace with other cultures but they'll always be heretics bringing up the past to fuel their future.
Yes Quarians have to make-do but that's because the Council exiled them. Again a lot of alien races see Quarians as terrorists for making the Geth. Even if they wiped out every single Geth it won't change their opinion. It'd be great to see them brought back to the Council somehow *cough cough*.
Anyways hope this clears things up. Tali, specifically, is wonderful. She represents the best in Quarians. She's not a fragile pushover and knows when to stand her ground for her people but likewise isn't controlled by Quarian beliefs enough to do what she feels is right.

Just an embassy, they were never a Council race. Not sure why they lost their embassy, probably because they no longer controlled any systems and so were no longer a race worth consulting on matters of galactic politics. Not to mention their development of the Geth in the first place was done behind the Council's back and then when it was revealed the Geth were in fact sentient AIs the Quarians attempted to commit genocide and failed. I'm fairly sure the Council would frown upon genocide.
The Quarians lost their embasy because of the creation of the geth. AI's are not allowed.
Also what makes you so sure the council is against genocide? They have supported it in the past with the rachni and came close to it again with the genophage.
