Besides it isnt the true Geth who attack the organics but the heretics, and even they have good reason to do so. Every Organic they have met has tried to kill them so of course they would be hostile. Legion took a huge risk trying to find Shepard in the hopes of forging an aliance between them and humanity.

Incorrect. The heretics kill organics(and will continue to do so, if left to their own) because their god (Sovereign)told them to. Legion very clearly explains this if you ask him the right questions while boarding the heretic station.

We don't actually know the details of any other geth encounters with organics prior to the events of Eden Prime, I might add. Looking at the ME1 dialogue, seems the galaxy at large haven't seen the geth since the quarians were driven out.

As for the rest. Yes, the quarians fired first, but you can see why - they were afraid the geth would wipe them all out the second they achieved sentience. Mistake? Absolutely, but after three centuries aboard ships, wandering the starts, it's incredibly hard to fault someone like Tali for having negative feelings about them. She looks around and sees her people dying and shunned by the galactic community for a mistake made 300 years ago. And since it's only heretics that have come out of the Veil, the negative impression of the geth as ruthless killers of all organics persists. And that's not just among quarians, pretty much every Citadel race also thinks that.

As for reacting negatively to Jacob - well how you feel if you were faced with a member of a group that captured, tortured and then killed your family/friends(remember, the Migrant Fleet is very big on the extended family feeling) and then tried to blow up an entire ship in order to capture *one* person who happened to be on the Fleet at the time?
Jacob has a lot of trust to build with her - has nothing to do with him as a person, it's to do with who he works for - you'll notice that Tali admits the engineers and most of the crew have been nice to her when you speak with her. But that doesn't mean she trusts Cerberus and I don't blame her.

Then in ME2 Jacob tries to offer Tali the hand of friendship and she flies off the handle just because he is black?

That is, without question, the most misguided remark I've ever read on this forum.

1. Tali was ready to claw Miranda's lily-white face off on Freedom's Progress, the first real mission in the game and even when Shepard follows the Paragon path, trying to diffuse the situation. Does anybody doubt that Tali would have "flown off the handle" if  Miranda had been standing there after Tali was recrutied, saying exactly the same thing? Jacob knew he was going to get a face full because he was Cerberus, but at least had the class to take it and try to reduce the tension.

Tali clearly says Cerberus tried to hijack a Migrant Fleet ship and broke through Quarian security protocols to do it. That's clearly where theanimousity comes from.

2. The Quarians face racisim and discrimination everywhere they go, which is everywhere. That makes them racist?

Troll or no troll, OP's point is very sound. He just forgot one little thing. Even in their own society they have some sort of a caste system, with only a few crews they pick their admirals from and harshly exploited working class, like Kal'Reegar. Or maybe they are racist and only Romanian accented Quarians can get privileged, while the decent English speakers are considered the lesser race.

Not true. One of the Admirals is Loghain, a Fereldan, not a Romanian.

If I have thoughts on something, I post them, usually there's enough good people around to discuss the actual issues. Or hopefully someone will see that not everyone who posts on this board is a troll *shrug*. Though I admit, that's an uphill battle recently :-/

I don't care what she is.

Trolling quarians is the best activity in the game.

BRB Legion is entering the flotilla:devil:

How can you say that about Tali, shes always nice unless you make certain choices in her loyalty mission, in which case she has a reason to be upset with you. Otherwise shes always nice to you and like you.

I hate Tali because of the talimancers and the talimance. I made sure she burned in the Engineering during the suicide mission. After returning from it I installed the Cyclonic Barrier on the Normandy.Image IPB

So anyone else think that Tali is a stuck up jerk? I mean all she really cared about in ME1 was her pilgramage, all she ever talked about was her pilgramage and the migrant fleet, quite frankly she came off pretty self centered to me in ME1.

Then in ME2 Jacob tries to offer Tali the hand of friendship and she flies off the handle just because he is black? I would like to think that in the future we have gotten past judging people by the colour of their skin. She also tries to kill Legion just because he is a Geth even though Legion did save her life back on the derelict Reaper.

But come to think of it the Quarians are a race of Jerks, they create a race of sentient machines called the Geth, enslave them and then they try to wipe them out just because they asked too many questions? They deserved to get their arses kicked and thrown off their homeworld. Besides the Quarians contribute nothing to galactic society, they all hide on their ships and could not give a stuff about anyone but themselves and their only concern is the Genocide of the Geth.

Quite frankly Cerberus was right to try and blow up one of their ships.

Fail.

Seriously?  You think an alien race would be hung up on human prejudices and racism?  She was rude to Jacob because he wore a Cerebus uniform, plain and simple.  Just like Jack was rude to Miranda for the same reason - what, now Jack is a mysoginist?

She only talks about the fleet in ME1 if you keep asking her about.  As far as ONLY caring about her pilgrimage, putting aside her "coming of age / finding a home amongst her people" quest (probably one of the most important rituals of her culture) to help Shepard stop Saren seems the opposite of the picture you are trying to paint.

But nice try at stirring up a hornet's nest.  You got some responses, go you!:?

I despise most of the Quarians. They tried to wipe our their own creations and got pimp slapped off their homeworld, now they think everyone should pity them and wipe out the Geth.

They deserve what they got if you ask me.
