I'm sure everyone knows about the Conrad situation in ME2 *spoiler alert*, the fact that no matter whether you  treat him well or badly, he ends up acting like you stuck a gun in his face. Is this a bug and is it planned to be fixed, or is it meant to be this way? Thanks.

I think Conrad Verner was supposed to be "this-or-that" depending on your choices in ME1.  BUT Bioware thought it was too damn funny to leave him out.

Us being able to shoot him in the foot and all. :)

There are rumours kicking around that there is actually a paragon Conrad that does the same thing but the dialogue is a bit different. That for whatever reason it didn't tick over in the game. But I'm yet to see proof. But it does seem like an odd thing for BioWare to do if it's deliberate.

It's very frustrating. My Shep managed to convince him to go back home to his wife, and Casey Hudson even referred to him as Captain(?) Verner. I want to see this outcome.

I'll admit, being able to shoot him in the foot was funny (and him being a whiny **** and all), but the whole situation is a mistake on BW's part. I have faith in them though.

I actually just finish Conrad in ME1. I doublechecked it and the Paragon choice puts a gun in his face, too. He just says something different. I imagine the idea was that they assumed everyone used their Renegade or Paragon option, and not a white option.

What?  No he doesn't.  The Paragon resolution is you calmly explain to Conrad that you need him to fight the battle at home.  No guns involved.

It's not a bug, devs just decided to go that way with it

It is a bug. Either that, or BW is getting pretty sloppy. I treated him like crap in ME1, and stuck a gun in his face, and later i learned he got into a fight with some turians in a bar, and ended up dead. But low and behold, there he was still alive on Illium

It's all a huge screwup and Bioware haven't commented on it so far, so I wouldn't expect a fix to it.

Come now, if Cerberus spent 4 billion credits retruning you from the dead the Alliance would spend 4 billion to bring back the real spectre Heeeeroo Conrad Verner.
