Seriously, in this time of space exploration and advanced warfare with shields. Why is it so easy for people to flank you? Too many times has a Krogan just simply trotted his way towards me and my useless squad killing us all. These flanking maneuvers make the combat look stupid because it just leads to me trying to find exploits in the AI and taking advantage. When a heavy enemy tries to come close to me I just go back to a room where for some reason they do not enter. From there I pop in and out shooting. This makes the combat excrutiatingly slow and tedious.

In ME3 or as some sort of DLC there has to be grenades that actually knock people back, proximity mines, and better cover. OH AND CROUCH.

Its unfair the way it is now because I always use Grunt and he is in no way as dominant as the enemy Krogan. Even though I upgraded him fully and gave him the Krogan shot gun. Also the teammates die way too quickly making them utterly useless sometimes because they leave me alone for a longer fight. It doesnt even matter how many times I revive them either they just die again. Also why does Garrus walk around like he some sort of Krogan?? He constantly leaves cover to fire fight in the open. How stupid is that?

something has to be done is right, you need to kill them. concussive shot is one of the best skills because it ignores barrier/armor/shield and guarantees a knock-back. garrus, grunt and zaeed all have this skill and it is glorious.

biotic throw is good too but it does not ignore shields/armor/barrier.

Yes, Krogan should fire their shotguns at you from 100 yards away.

Concussive shot does not ignore armor and barriers.  It is good against barriers. but only causes the knockback when the enemy has no defenses.

really? i think it guarantees a stun, if not a knock-down. i could be wrong but i have tested it against all variations and always seen it work. the only difference is stun v knock-down/back.

Hmm . . . this Krogan is charging at me, I should probably shoot him.

. . . . . .

Nah. I'll get "shotguned" in the face instead.

Obviously you play on easy difficulty because it takes ALOT to take down a krogan by yourself.

Well I remember unloading my sniper fifle's clip on a krogan's head and he killed me with his shotgun and he was pretty far.

Its called a challenge. Focus fire the giant ass alien down or get shotgunned. Figure out the correct solution.

Bioware should definitely patch the game so enemies remain motionless allowing you to kill them easier. Seriously, the close quarter combat specialist Krogans getting in your face...Unacceptable.

I've been playing on insanity and I haven't had any problems.  Mordin's Incinerate+Miranda's Warp, along with my own Incinerate, can usually destroy them before they get anywhere near.  The only place where there was enough Krogan to overwhelm my abilties to kill them quick enough was in Mordin's loyalty quest, and then it was just about falling back to new cover.  I rarely had to use my guns even.

You people are sarcastic pr***. Im not saying to completely remove rush tactics im trying to say there is no good defensive counter against these techniques. Krogans are never far from the battle anyway.

actually you can backpeddle away from a charging krogan faster than they can reach you. i like to let them miss their charge then rush them with melees. its really gratifying to charge at a krogan.

The solution is to exploit the AI. Ring around the rosie, and hide in a section of map where the AI does not enter.

Something needs to be done about these enemies...they keep shooting back at me! Also, occasionally they move from side to side, making it more difficult for me to aim at them!

(seriously, I wished enemies in the game flanked and charged you more often, so it wasn't so easy to just sit in cover and execute enemies at your leisure. The game is barely challenging as it is on Insanity...dont complain about one of the few curveballs the game occasionally throws you. Play on easier difficulty if you have to.  Or better yet, do like everyone else, and adapt your powers, tactics, and squad mix to be able to take down a charging krogan.  Also...occasionaly you do have to move your character.)

this is the one power i think should be able to ignore shields/armor with more points invested (but given a longer recharge time). i mean, kinetic shields could arguably displace or absorb the force of the impact the way they do bullets, but bullets, even many at a time such with shotguns or SMGs, do not equal anywhere near the force of Throw. Barrier is the only power that makes sense to have resistance to Throw, as you're using biotics to displace biotics

There are good defensive tactics.  Warp.  Overload.  Incinerate.  Warp Ammo.  If you have the right teammates, you can get through Krogans without even firing a shot yourself if you really want to.

And you wouldn't complain if the AI was smart enough to move towards you cover-to-cover, try to flank you(all enemies, not just Krogan and Varren), and not be stopped by anything?

Cause that just sounds awesome to me.  Come on bioware, show us a real AIImage IPB

1) Direct your allies to cover it helps to keep them alive especially on higher difficulties.

2) Utilize offenses that destroy specific defenses; I use Miranda quite a bit because she has Warp and Overload and I am infiltrator so I have Incinerate and I pick Reave as my bonus power for added Biotic killing power. Destroy their defenses as fast as possible so you can utilize other abilities to either crowd control them or if you have enough time kill them outright.

3) Enemies that close should be top priority, and you should focus fire them as soon as possible or they will flank you and kill you. The game even says as much during the loading screens; it's a hint.

4) Utilize proper offenses to destroy defenses; I cannot emphasize this enough most enemies that close usually have a form of defense that must be breached to get to their health. Don't be afraid to give ground if you can; especially if one sneaks up on you.

5) Provide distractions for them, like AI Hacking, Dominate, or Combat Drone. The enemy goes for the closest enemy if need be sacrifice an ally if it could assure victory. The latter should be a last resort.

I hope this helps.

You know what, letting enemies flank you means you didn't think much or had bad luck. I haven't died even once on Krogans when it comes to Insanity. Get your killing priorities and a concept of a fight right when you start (active pause ftw.); don't let it develop as the enemies' AI wants.

Grunt isn't as dominant as enemy Krogans?! What The Hell. My Grunt with the 55 health points regen option, double Krogan Vitality upgrade, Miranda and her Cerberus Tactician AND Fortification was unkillable. He had almost 700 hit points and crapload of Armor. So I think you've done something wrong.
