Something needs to be done about these enemies...they keep shooting back at me! Also, occasionally they move from side to side, making it more difficult for me to aim at them!

(seriously, I wished enemies in the game flanked and charged you more often, so it wasn't so easy to just sit in cover and execute enemies at your leisure. The game is barely challenging as it is on Insanity...dont complain about one of the few curveballs the game occasionally throws you. Play on easier difficulty if you have to.)

You're a moron. plain and simple.

Maybe. But I can handle a charging Krogan.

There are a lot of counters that don't involve exploiting the AI. Like hitting them with every party members tech/biotics at the same time. If a charging krogan wasn't a pain in the arse than their really wouldn't be a point in having them in the game.

Someone create a mod where enemies have no legs, so we can end this thread.

It's a simple matter of recognizing the closing enemies early and focusing them down, Geth Hunters are really bad as well the ones that cloak and I think are worse than the krogan. Mainly because your allies won't shoot at them because they are "cloaked".

actually you can backpeddle away from a charging krogan faster than they can reach you. i like to let them miss their charge then rush them with melees. its really gratifying to charge at a krogan.

This. I have beaten at least 4 krogans to death with my Adept, on Insanity. :D

This. Goddamn this. I died to rushing-shooting Geth Hunters way more times than I died to Krogans. Sometimes you miss them yourself and suddenly someone is standing right next to you, filling you with future-lead. :(

You know.. Shep got legs as well, It is surprisingly easy to sidestep or even outrun a charging Krogan, Battlefield movement works.

Husks are easy fodder for Hand cannons, Shotguns or if you wanna get real nasty - The flamethrower.

your squad will fire their skills at cloaked geth if you tell them to. i always spam all squad powers when i use my own power, its the best use of time when popping out of cover. that is basically what i do with all charging or incoming enemies if they are a serious threat. three consecutive special attacks stuns any mob on most difficulty levels, assuming they are not totally inappropriate skills for the enemy type.

True, I should have added that they will attack things as directed.  But if you don't they won't do anything.

Hmm . . . this Krogan is charging at me, I should probably shoot him.

. . . . . .

Nah. I'll get "shotguned" in the face instead.

Obviously you play on easy difficulty because it takes ALOT to take down a krogan by yourself.

Love when people say this, right...if you have trouble killing them then we obviously can't -.-. Yup yup were on easy... becouse...it cant be done..its imposible.. yup....

ok I'm done with this thread, it's been reduced to insults.
And the OP is getting all defensive making it worse and only defeating his own complaint or w/e.

i always have samara and zaeed and if there is a enemy getting to close e.g a krogan i will tell them to focus on him, (by pressing up on the d pad) and that always works

If biotics were amped back up you could stop charging krogans, but other than that there aren't many ways exept running away, or firing and hoping you can kill quickly enough

Lmao what a pointless thread. You just suck really bad if you're crying about 'charging krogans' You take them out as fast as possible, and don't stay in one spot so he can kill you, noob. L2Play your class (not being dramatic) and you will easily take them down quick even on 'insanity'. one reason 'charging' krogans are there is so you don't just stay back and pick off enemies from a distance, you got to change your strategy.

On normal at least it works well, need to focus on attacking the nearest enemy or die...

No idea what it's like on harder difficulty though.

Basically hand to hand you die though.

Man. F*cking Elnora and her f*cking Krogan + Heavy Mech on insanity. Drove me insane.

But damn was it satisfying when I popped that b*tch in her head amidst the hordes of mech shrapnel and corpses. I say keep the shotgun f*cks but improve the AI. It might be annoying but damn is it worth it when you take them down.

And now for something completly pointless!

scyphozoa wrote...

something has to be done is right, you need to kill them. concussive shot is one of the best skills because it ignores barrier/armor/shield and guarantees a knock-back. garrus, grunt and zaeed all have this skill and it is glorious.

I decided to try and find out if this was true, out of pure curiosity.  My findings?

Shielded enemies seem to have a 'stun' animation when hit with a Concussive Shot, although it was extremly small and didn't seem to interfere with their fire in any noticable ways(target - Eclipse Trooper)
Barrier seemed to completly negate the effect(target - Eclipse Vanguard)
Haven't tried it on armor.

Seriously doubt it'd even slow an armored Krogan down.

NOTE: I may be wrong about the shielded enemies, it might have been something other the shot that made them 'stumble' a bit.  It also doesn't seem to effect them when they are doing another animation(such as jumping a wall).

biotic throw is good too but it does not ignore shields/armor/barrier.

this is the one power i think should be able to ignore shields/armor with more points invested (but given a longer recharge time). i mean, kinetic shields could arguably displace or absorb the force of the impact the way they do bullets, but bullets, even many at a time such with shotguns or SMGs, do not equal anywhere near the force of Throw. Barrier is the only power that makes sense to have resistance to Throw, as you're using biotics to displace biotics

I concur...and throw is utterly useless on insanity since you can't use it to CC enemies that rush you...which is the sole purpose of this biotic to begin with (and staggering an enemy that's in your face with defenses up for half a second will get you nowhere).

During my insanity run with my adept I was occasionally faced with a rushing enemy in my face while my team was dead and at that range it was nothing that I could do to stop them.It didn't happen very often but when it did I felt completely helpless.

I was 100% certain this was going to be a joke thread.

If you are having difficulty with the enemies, may I suggest you turn down the difficulty. If you are on lower difficulty then you need to focus your attention on the higher priority targets like Krogan before they get close. Use warp, reave and the like to remove shields and barriers. Incinerate, Inferno ammo will cut through armour. Then you can use all the fun biotic abilities and the like now that their protections are removed. Stay behind cover and you should be fine. If you think the Krogan will get to you before you can take them down, retreat and try from further back.
