EARTH

Codex Entry:
The homeworld and capital of humanity is entering a new golden age. The resource wealth of a dozen settled colonies and a hundred industrial outposts flows back to Earth, fueling great works of industry, commerce, and art. The great cities are greening as arcology skyscrapers and telecommuting allow more efficient use of land.
Earth is still divided among nation-states, though all are affiliated beneath the overarching banner of the Systems Alliance. While every human enjoys longer and better life than ever, the gap between rich and poor widens daily. Advanced nations have eliminated most genetic disease and pollution, while less fortunate regions have not progressed beyond 20th century technology, and are often smog-choked, overpopulated slums. Examples of poorer areas include the Texan Megapolis, formed by the union of Houston, Dallas and San Antonio and the birth place of Kahlee Sanders; richer areas include New Calcutta, where Hendel Mitra was born.
Sea levels have risen two meters in the last 200 years, and violent weather is common due to environmental damage inflicted during the late 21st century. The past few decades, however, have seen significant improvement due to recent technological advances.

making and earth based mission in america along will just add to the cliche of american based games, it would be better if a mission were elsewhere on earth.

Oh please. I know this is science-fiction but things should at least be kept plausible. No-one would believe that.Soverain wrote...

what you said is irrelevant, mass effect is fictional, so anything is possible, even a futuristic africa.

A futuristic united korea would be interesting. Asia, South America, Africa, Singapore(kaidens birth place) would also work.

maybe the reapors would have started their invasion and earth was one of their targets.

I don't really want a mission of that type on Earth... the only way it would work for me if it were used as a hub planet ala Omega and Illium.

Casey Hudson says we'll see Earth, I'd guess it is Mass Effect 3.
He does and I am afraid Earth is going to be home to the SUPER SECRET REAPER STOPPING WEAPON!!!
What a twist!!

Oh, yeah, let's get the Halo 2 plot integrated into ME3, sure, why not?Soverain wrote...

Also, what the hell is wrong with Varenus' post?

That's not the plot of Halo 2. Unless you see "repelling an invasion" as "blowing all the **** in the galaxy up".Dethateer wrote...

I have to agree that saying Earth is super important is really cliche.
Even though Varenus' post is sort of true, he exaggerated the unlikelyness (is that a word?) of the idea.

I had fun going through Bethesda's version Of Bethesda, MD. Not that a lot was recognizeable.

Well it was a alternate timeline or sum such
Come Fall/Winter that area is very brown tho and point look out (the docks) is pretty right on.
I always thought they should of added a DLC with Baltimore and the inner harbor.

I just meant that not a lot was recognizeable because everything was demolished. I am familar with Olney. I used to live in Gaithersburg. I also lived in Pittsburgh for a while, though, and I did not recognize a blasted thing in that expansion pack.
