I would want it to be in Europe, Germany hopefully. Though knowing that Bioware likes to hire actors with UK accents, it might be in Canda or UK,

making and earth based mission in america along will just add to the cliche of american based games, it would be better if a mission were elsewhere on earth.

Oh, you mean like the failure that was all of the Earth-based missions in Halo 2, and the mediocrity that was missions 2-4 of Halo 3?
Please. No more Africa. And Russia's been overused thanks to Call of Duty. And any mob game is in a major US city, but I've never seen DC. It does make sense to put in it DC, but somehow, that's cliche and I do hope that won't happen. Can we do, like, Brazil, or something? Or maybe China? China would work. It'd be a new setting for a game-- at least, modern-day China.

Well, according to a planetary entry, North America is apparently one united country at this point. So it could be D.C., or Ottawa, or Mexico City.

My money's on Seattle or Toronto, though. "Space Needles" and all. B|

I don't see what the big deal about using a city thats been overused if it looks different and has its own art style then I don't see what the big deal is. Whatever makes the best story will do regardless of location whether it be in a farm or in the depths of an ocean or a metropolitan city.

Set it in New Calcutta, which is apparently one of the largest and most wealthy cities on Earth in Mass Effect.

1) Unique location

2) We could see some Bollywood stuff! Cool!

3) Not cliche in the slightest.

An Earth blowing up choice would be interesting. They should make you choose Earth or saving thousands of colonies from a Reaper attack. If you save Earth, the Alliance finally gains control of the Galaxy and if you don't save Earth then humanity stays as an equal with the rest of the galactic community. This choice sounds a little crazy and something in me makes me doubt about it happening. I do want a very important choice though, something that will affect the whole galaxy and not something along the lines of Shepard sacrificing himself or someone else doing that. We already had the whole dying thing in ME2 plus that's repetitive and boing, it occurs too often.

Bollywood Mass Effect would be awesome.  Shepard would totally be a better dancer, in that case...

That being said: I agree otherwise.  I'd like to see an adventure in Asia.  Either in China or India would be my first calls, simply because there's so much population there!

I'd prefer a European or South American location. I don't know why but Geneva and Kiev just sound intriguing to me in a Sci-fi theme. South America sounds interesting to see the development and to see if the rain forest is still standing.

My guess is that we will go to Alliance HQ and it won't be specified where it is exactly.

This.  Bonus points if its a city placed somewhere in the middle of an ocean(ie built on the ocean, not a island) to be neutral territory.

Africa already developed New Mombasa in Halo 3: ODST. So I would rather not see Africa. New York City is legendary, I think it would be very effective as the setting if a mission was there in ME3.

I don't care where we'll land as long as it's Earth, but I would definitely like to see 3 things: a modern city, a slum/city that never got pass 20th century tech(it would be a nice change wouldn't it Shepard running around in a high-tech gear...Mustang '69 speeding past him mercs shooting at him with AK-47s /having a geekasm here/ , and some wilderness let’s say in a forest, with perhaps some kilometre long skyscraper towers somewhere far in the distance...///////This is the point where I wake up and realise that Erath will probably follow the already well established by Bioware method of building metropolises: a curved tunnel with branching rooms for shops and apartments and a nice bitmap for a background.

You guys are applying a 21st century Earth to ME. They have formed megatropolii, the city of New York could be anywhere from present day Virginia to Maine.

Sea levels have risen two meters in the last 200 years, and violent weather is common due to environmental damage inflicted during the late 21st century. The past few decades, however, have seen significant improvement due to recent technological advances.

So diskoh New York city is likely to be on the bottom of the sea

I swear to God, if the Earth mission takes place in NYC or LA or San Francisco, I will punch a baby. It would be cool to have the Earth location be Houston, where there's probably a massive spaceport at this point in time. It could be Singapore, or Tokyo (I've always wanted to see Tokyo in a WRPG), or any number of random cities.

I also want to see the entertainment of the Mass Effect universe. A conversation at a football game would be cool, or a movie, or something. I wanna see what races play their positions in football :D

The Earth mission will take place in tropical Antarctica.

You can bet on it.

Anywhere but Tokyo please, I am getting tired of peoples obsessions with Japan.

So a rise of 6.561 feet will put New York city under water? Nope.

I'd like to see Australia.

It's a multicultural western country close to asia.

It's got all the different types of eco-systems and so much of it is deserted, you could pretty much build a new city where ever you wanted.
